"also called Erechtheus" -- I'm not convinced. I will have to look for this in the iliad.

"he was the son of Hephaestus and Gaia or Athena or Atthis." -- Athena is "Athis".
I think "Hephaestus and Gaia" means "Egypt" and "Libya".
