SATURNIA at Gibraltar



I was 13 years old when I sailed through them in this ship.


It was broad daylight and a sight I will NEVER forget, although once approaching the open Ocean, I
could not but be in awe at its vastness. 

I could not then, also,  have anything but admiration for Christopher Columbus and his men braving
such a feat as sailing in it in three very small caravelles.  That's the one thing that I remember
