The crusaders also killed Jews in villages along the way (becaused they killed Christ). As a Christian I am greatly ashamed of this and other wars in the name of GOD. I ask you though to compare religion (even those misguided ones)  to the soviets that killed 60 million of their own, Hitler, Pol Pot who killed 20's of millions and China who also killed so many. These countries and groups killed hundreds of millions if not millions more. Some people interviewed when the wall came down said "we tried to replace GOD with man and it was a disaster. As no one is perfect,  no religion is perfect because it is people that will use religion to Their end. All the largest religions have many good things in common.This is The Golden Rule,  for one. Anyone killing in the name of GOD is NOT following religion. Don't let a few (comparatively)  give religion a bad name.  Go with GOD, I'm pretty sure there is no war or killing in his/her name that.
