The alleged teacher the magical system known as Hermetism of which high magic and alchemy are thought to be twin branches. The name Trismegistus means thrice greatest Hermes, and is the title given by the Greeks to the Egyptian god Thoth or Tehuti, a lord of wisdom and learning.
According to legend Hermes Trismegistus is said to have provided the wisdom of light in the ancient mysteries of Egypt. "He carried an emerald, upon which was recorded all of philosophy, and the caduceus, the symbol of mystical illumination.
Hermes Trismegistus vanquished Typhon, the dragon of ignorance, and mental, moral and physical perversion."
The origin of the Hermes' Emerald Tablet has posed just as much of a mystery as does its interpretation. The Emerald Tablet is the cornerstone of western alchemical thought.
Alchemy is the practical application of the Hermetic Philosophy which is contained, in total, in its 13 succinct portions. Hermes Trismegistus (thrice great), a supreme magus, is the author of the transcendent masterpiece called "The Emerald Tablet" which is the most revered magical / transcendental writing in all of Western mysticism.
The date of its origin is unknown, however, some translations of the tablet go back to the 12th century and much earlier. The Emerald Tablet has challenged many of the greatest minds the world has ever produced, and numerous commentaries have been offered. Sir Isaac Newton's draft of The Emerald Tablet is reproduced below.
We shall take a stab at the meaning of the Tablet, the heart of the Greek/Egyptian god Hermes/Thoth, the thrice great.
"It was said that this god (Thoth) possessed all secret knowledge on 36,535 scrolls that were hidden under the heavenly vault (the sky) which could only be found by the worthy, who would use such knowledge for the benefit of mankind."
36,535 rolls down to the number 22. The number of bones in the human skull, and number of chapters in the book of revelations.

The History of Thoth, The Atlantean
My translation of each tablet, will be highlighted
I mysteries, keeper of records, mighty king, magician, living from generation to generation, being about to pass into the Halls of Amenti, set down for the guidance of those that are to come after, these records of the mighty wisdom of Great Atlantis.
Atlantis in the Egyptian myth means the BRAIN. The wisdom of the light as it enters the brain (Atlantis). Atalantis sunk, for those that never raised the energy through the seven seals.
In the great city of Keor on the island of Undal in a time far past, I began this incarnation. Not as the little men of the present age did the mighty ones of Atlantis live and die, but rather from aeon to aeon did they renew their life in the Halls of Amenti where the river of life flows eternally onward.
The river of life is cerebrospinal fluid that enters the brain through the FOUR ventricles, this cosmic energy, renews the mind, to gain cosmic consciousness.
The island in mythology, is always the brain, as it sits in a pool of saline solution, like an island, surrounded by the sea.
A hundred times ten have I descended the dark way that led into light, and as many times have I ascended from the darkness into the light, my strength and power renewed.
This means sitting in darkness, in meditation, eventually, that darkness will turn into light. And the energy renews the mind.
Now for a time I descend, and the men of Khem shall know me no more. But in a time yet unborn will I rise again, mighty and potent, requiring an accounting of those left behind me.
Then beware, O men of Khem, if ye have falsely betrayed my teaching, for I shall cast ye down from your high estate into the darkness of the caves from whence ye came.
Betray not my secrets to the men of the North or the men of the South lest my curse fall upon ye. Remember and heed my words, for surely will I return again and require of thee that which ye guard.
This is referring to the dark night of the soul, when the kundalini, stays in it's hole, but will rise again, to accomplish it's task. but if you falasely brtray the teaching, you are cast back into darkness.
This means when you don't believe or understand that meditation will eventually bring you up. The men of the north and south are the subconscious mind. I, the kundalini will return again, because you are guarding your lower animal man, ego personality, but Thoth will raise you back up.
Aye, even from beyond time and from beyond death will I return, rewarding or punishing as ye have requited your trust. Great were my people in the ancient days, great beyond the conception of the little people now around me; knowing the wisdom of old, seeking far within the heart of infinity knowledge that belonged to Earth's youth.
Eventually, through meditation, to Thoth, the kundalini energy returns to the knowledge of man, the wisdom of the old, which will return to us all.
Wise were we with the wisdom of the Children of Light who dwelt among us. Strong were we with the power drawn from the eternal fire.
And of all these, greatest among the children of men was my father, Thotme, keeper of the great temple, link between the Children of Light who dwelt within the temple and the races of men who inhabited the ten islands. Mouthpiece, after the three, of the Dweller of Unal, speaking to the Kings with the voice that must be obeyed.
The children of the Light, you and I are wise, because we enter into meditation to receive it., The fire, is the purifying spark of god, the fire of the kundalini energy, as it enters the brain.
Keeper of the temple (brain), he is the link between the light in you, and the ten islands, the islands are the same as the ten sephiroth of the kabalah, they are the ten channels of energy that rise up the spine, the seven, plus three, as described in the kabalah.
The voice within, is the mouthpiece, that dwells in you, desccribed as UNAL, the voice. speaking to the kings, that must be obeyed. The kings, are the three kings within you, that make up your ego. the physical, the emotional, and the intellectual.
Grew I there from a child into manhood, being taught by my father the elder mysteries, until in time there grew within the fire of wisdom, until it burst into a consuming flame. Naught desired I but the attainment of wisdom.
Until on a great day the command came from the Dweller of the Temple that I be brought before him. Few there were among the children of men who had looked upon that mighty face and lived, for not as the sons of men are the Children of Light when they are not incarnate in a physical body.
The fire of wisdom, is again, the energy of the kundalini, within you. It bursts into a consuming flame, and illuminates the whole body.
We, if we only desire the attainment of the wisdom of the serpent, then we receive the command from from the dweller, the dweller, is the inner, the soul, depicted as being in a cave, entombed in the material flesh.
But when seen god face to face they lived, this is the same as the bible, when Jacob saw god face to face, and he lived. The light is incarnate in the body, but they do not know.
Chosen was I from the sons of men, taught by the Dweller so that his purposes might be fulfilled, purposes yet unborn in the womb of time. Long ages I dwelt in the Temple, learning ever and yet ever more wisdom, until I, too, approached the light emitted from the great fire. Taught me he, the path to Amenti, the underworld where the great king sits upon his throne of might.
This refers to the person that persists in their meditation, long enough in the temple (the brain), gaining ever more wisdom, as the light within ascends ti the brain, as you approach this light (god), The underworld, where the king sits on his throne, is the EGO as it controls the mind, until the light takes control.
Deep I bowed in homage before the Lords of Life and the Lords of Death, receiving as my gift the key of Life. Free was I of the Halls of Amenti, bound not by death to the circle of life. Far to the stars I journeyed until space and time became as naught.
Then having drunk deep of the cup of wisdom, I looked into the hearts of men and there found I greater mysteries and was glad. For only in the Search for Truth could my Soul be stilled and the flame within be quenched.
Deep in homage (deep in meditation) overriding the lords of this earth, life and death of the soul. Finally becoming free from death (this is a mystical death, not Literal) to the circle of life (reincarnation). this circle is broken, once you have received the magnetism from the stars.
Then you have drunk from the cup of wisdom. They are no greater mysteries than this, the person who realizes this is gladdened.
Finally after finding THOTH (truth, finally the soul is stilled as the thirst) (flame within) is quenched, You now know the truth, and you are free. this is a milestone for the soul, of light within you.
Down through the ages I lived, seeing those around me taste of the cup of death and return again in the light of life. Gradually from the Kingdoms of Atlantis passed waves of consciousness that had been one with me, only to be replaced by spawn of a lower star.
The cup of death, are the ones that do not enter into meditation. This means those that have seen the light, but cannot let go of the pleasures of the physical world, and fall back to their old dead animal personalities, (a lower star).
In obedience to the law, the word of the Master grew into flower. Downward into darkness turned the thoughts of the Atlanteans, until at last in his wrath arose from his Agwanti, the Dweller, (this word has no English equivalent; it means a state of detachment) speaking The Word, calling the power.
If one stays in obedience to the law (performs their daily meditations), they blossom. You must first go down into lower Egypt, and rise to the higher consciousness, Agwanti the dweller, is the serpent power lying dormant, it empowers the emotions, and is wrath, to the world.
Deep in Earth's heart, the sons of Amenti heard, and hearing, directed the changing of the flower of fire that burns eternally, changing and shifting, using the Logos, until that great fire changed its direction.
This is when one has finally gained control over the senses, and has mastered themselves, they can now direct the energy anywhere they desire, as do many healers, and senders of light to other people.The logos is the word of god, it is when you have heard from the internal oracle.
Over the world then broke the great waters, drowning and sinking, changing Earth's balance until only the Temple of Light was left standing on the great mountain on Undal still rising out of the water; some there were who were living, saved from the rush of the fountains.
The grat waters are the streams of the four rivers, the cerebrospinal fluid as it enters the brain, with the magnetism from the stars, until it lights the temple, on the mountain (the higher consciousness) If one is prepared, the rush of this energy Fountains) will save you, and bring life.
Called to me then the Master, saying: "Gather ye together my people. Take them by the arts ye have learned of far across the waters, until ye reach the land of the hairy barbarians, dwelling in caves of the desert. Follow there the plan that ye know of."
This is saying to those who have learned the truth, share it with the ones who are operating off of their lower mind (the hairy barbarians).The caves and the desert, represent the spiritual barreness of the person, teach them the path the ye know of.
Gathered I then my people and entered the great ship of the Master. Upward we rose into the morning. Dark beneath us lay the Temple. Suddenly over it rose the waters. Vanished from Earth, until the time appointed, was the great Temple.
They gathered in the great ship (the higher consciousness, the mind) upward they rose (they sat upright in meditation) as darkness beneath lies the temple. This is the mind being controlled by the lower temple (brain, or gut brain), controlled by the ego.
But suddenly in meditation, rose the waters, water is the second stage of meditation, as you leave the root chakra. When the time is right, the great temple (the higher mind will manifest within you.
Fast we fled toward the sun of the morning, until beneath us lay the land of the children of Khem. Raging, they came with cudgels and spears lifted in anger seeking to slay and utterly destroy the Sons of Atlantis. Then raised I my staff and directed a ray of vibration, striking them still in their tracks as fragments of stone of the mountain.
Fleeing towards the sun, means the sun center within you, Like the story of revelations in the bible, they (the lower forces, symbolized by weapons, try and keep you from attaining the higher light, because the nature of that person is in his/her comfort zone. But notice that when the staff (the spine) is directed by the ray (cosmic energy) it breaks down the lower forces within.
Striking them as fragments of stone of the mountain, is referring to the pineal gland, as it sits at the mountain top, (in the brain), it slays the enemies within, the lower ego thoughts.
The sons of Atlantis are always the higher nature thoughts that arise in the mind (Atlantis), the meek and humble nature, the the beast below despises, because it cannot let go of the physical life, just like in the movie matrix, when the one guy wants to go back to the matrix and taste the false meat, because it is better that the truth for him.
Then spoke I to them in words calm and peaceful, telling them of the might of Atlantis, saying we were children of the Sun and its messengers. Cowed I them by my display of magic-science, until at my feet they groveled, when I released them.
As you humbly teach in a calm manner, the truth that you know, about Atlantis (the higher mind), Showing them the truth about the cosmic energy (as the children of the sun), the one who knows the Sun story above and within, and the angles of light from above (the messengers).
Eventually, when the person you are teaching realizes this great truth, they sit at the feet of the master. They go on their way after hearing truth.
Long dwelt we in the land of Khem, long and yet long again. Until obeying the commands of the Master, who while sleeping yet lives eternally, I sent from me the Sons of Atlantis, sent them in many directions, that from the womb of time wisdom might rise again in her children.
They dwelt in the land of Khem (the lower nature, described in the Bibles Babylon, Egypt etc. Until finally obeying the sayings of the master. Sleeping (refers to meditation, and gives eternal life.
You can now send the sons (new thought forms) of Atlantis (the renewed mind) from this womb, The matrix, you have opened, that these thought waves will rise again in the minds of those in a future time, as the vibrations never stop, ans will eventually received in the minds of those, who are ready to hear.
Long time dwelt I in the land of Khem, doing great works by the wisdom within me. Upward grew into the light of knowledge the children of Khem, watered by the rains of my wisdom. Blasted I then a path to Amenti so that I might retain my powers, living from age to age a Sun of Atlantis, keeping the wisdom, preserving the records.
When you operated your mind from the wisdom within, the knight will grow brighter, wanted the rains of wisdom, (the knowledge learned). Bursting into Amenti (the higher realms of consciousness), staying in the, and retaining your power of the lower forces. Keeping this truth and preserving it for future generations.
Great grew the sons of Khem, conquering the people around them, growing slowly upwards in Soul force. Now for a time I go from among them into the dark halls of Amenti, deep in the halls of the Earth, before the Lords of the Powers, face to face once again with the Dweller.
When one falls back to their old nature, they come face to face with the EGO once again, the dweller in the darkness of the earth (you).
Raised I high over the entrance, a doorway, a gateway leading down to Amenti. Few there would be with courage to dare it, few pass the portal to dark Amenti. Raised over the passage, I, a mighty pyramid, using the power that overcomes Earth force (gravity).
This is the person that has the fortitude, to be him/her self, and stay in meditation, to over come the earth forces, (the lower mind). The gravity of the lower mind, has lost it's power over your soul, and no longer stays at the low place, the belly
Deep and yet deeper placed I a force-house or chamber; from it carved I a circular passage reaching almost to the great summit. There in the apex, set I the crystal, sending the ray into the "Time-Space", drawing the force from out of the ether, concentrating upon the gateway to Amenti. (See The Great Pyramid by Doreal.)
This is when you have reached the crystal palace (the higher mind) the passages in the brain, and reached the summit (the higher consciousness), Receiving the power or CHI (electromagnetism) from the air. While in meditation concentrating on the gateway, the entrance into heaven (Amenti).
Other chambers I built and left vacant to all seeming, yet hidden within them are the keys to Amenti. He who in courage would dare the dark realms, let him be purified first by long fasting. Lie in the sarcophagus of stone in my chamber. Then to reveal I to him the great mysteries.
Soon shall he follow to where I shall meet him, even in the darkness of Earth shall I meet him, I, Thoth, Lord of Wisdom, meet him and hold him and dwell with him always.
You have learned and built knowledge, but abandoned it, but you still retain the keys to the higher knowledge. through fasting (meditation) lies the stone in the chamber of your brain, the pineal gland.
Then The great mysteries will be revealed to you, eventually you will reach the higher mind, and the you will meet THOTH (god), and he will dwell with you always.

You are a pyramid facing upward, the root of the word pyramid is pyre, which means fire, the fire within. you have gained the knowledge, of this science (hidden wisdom) of the ages. Seal of Solomon, star of David etc.
And when you die, and reincarnate, will bring this wisdom and knowledge, to the new body you inhabit. Sleeping in the halls of Amenti (the souls journey, once it has left the physical body.
Emissary on Earth am I of the Dweller, fulfilling his commands so man might be lifted. Now return I to the Halls of Amenti, leaving behind me some of my wisdom. Preserve ye and keep ye the command of the Dweller:
Lift ever upwards your eyes toward the light. Surely in time, ye are one with the Master, surely by right ye are one with the Master, surely by right ye are one with the All.
Become a new light to those around you, and lift others up to this truth, Keep looking up, as this is where all the cosmic rays come from. from above. Then you will be one with the cosmos. When you have overcome, you will be one with the Universe, the all.
Now I depart from ye. Know my commandments, keep them and be them, and I will be with you, helping and guiding you into the Light.
Now before me opens the portal. Go I down in the darkness of night.
Stay in the knowledge, and you will be guided by the internal light, even as you go down into darkness, slip back into your old nature.
