About twenty years ago, I read "Clan of the Cave Bear" by Jean Auel.

It is a novel about a prehistoric tall blond child, named Ayla who loses her entire family in an earthquake. She is then "adopted" by a group of very primitive cave dwellers who regard her as very "different" yet raise her in the tribe, where she learns about herbs. I stood in a very long line at a book signing with the author.

When it was finally my turn, I asked Jean Auel, "Do you read the Urantia Book." She asked, "How did you know?" I replied, "Because clearly, Ayla is a descendant of Adam and Eve and the tribe that adopt her, seem more related to Andon and Fonta."

She smiled and said The Urantia Book has totally been an inspiration for my stories."

I have been doing research on this topic - famous people that have been into the U book and so forth.

I am going to quote the story about Jean Auel - I had heard the same story from another reader too!

I would love a chance to communicate with "Majeston" if anyone knows how to reach this reader.

I have been researching Janis Joplin - I think she probably was a reader but I have not been able to find any strong evidence at this point - have some leads to look into.

Some say John Denver wasn't a reader (Mo Siegel) while others say he was (at least somewhat interested). He played at a conference as a favor to Mo Siegel.

To add to the list (I know of many but they are generally not highly famous) Carlos Santana reads the UB - he has written about reading the UB on Facebook in recent years.

I hope to hear from someone - if you see this post please write to me at

Hello, M,

Robert Sarmast also obviously read the Urantia Book.

Click on the name, "Absonite" and it brings you to his profile, there you will find his/her email address. Good luck!  Smiley

The Urantia Book, it is heresy! See my earlier posts on the subject. Only the Bible is to be believed. This book was chanelled, always a dodgy business. Repent before it is too late!
