June 1st is less than a month away.  I have started a thread in MISCELLANEOUS

where, if you wish, you can add your name and where you live, so that we may

keep track of one another, if needed.

Here's hoping that this season may be as mild as last year's!

Love and Peace,

Grab all the water you can.  Don't forget to push and shove your neighbor to get to it.  LOL.  People down here can be totally rude when it comes to getting supplies at the last minute.  Angry  That's why we've already started stocking up.  No last minute psycho-trips to the grocery store for me.  I don't even what to think about it because we're moving into a trailer soon.  Our friend lives less than 5 minutes from the new place though and, since he loves us so much, he offered us the bottom floor of his house during the storms.  Animals and all!  So....

Count me into the pool, that will be slightly emptied upon the approach of the storm.  Bring in all loose objects and, no matter what, don't let a tree fall on your head!  Wilma wasn't a pleasant experience for us here in Ft. Lauderdale.  We had no power for almost 3 weeks.  We were the kings of the neighborhood since we had a generator.  I think we all want to miss having a nasty season this year.

Stay safe everyone!

Blessed be,
Lynn

I know Majoston is in Florida.

Anybody else from the "Hurricane Zone"?

I wish, Florida is a great state.

I hope you don't have a bad hurricane season, Cleasterwood, especially if you'll be in a trailer.  In the Midwest, we tend to have a lot of tornadoes. There was one in Kansas last night that killed 9 people. 95% of the town was destroyed. Tornadoes really play havoc with mobile homes, as, I'm sure you know.

It's funny you should say that.  There were tornado warnings issued the other day and we thought, 'geesh, do we really want a trailer?"  NO!   While talking to a friend of ours, who just inherited a house, we found out he's moving to another state next year and is going to sell it.  We sat and had a long conversation with him about it and we came to the conclusion that we would be his room mates until he moves and then we are going to buy the house!  So....No one has to be too worried now because no trailer for me!  lol
Blessed be!

Definitely great news, Lynn, and congratulations.  Hopefully, the house has a basement.  One of the people in Kansas during the recent tornado saw it coming and headed down in his basesment.  After the storm passed over, all he had left of his house was the basement, everything else had collapsed around him.

Jason,

It's not possible for us to have basements in Florida.  The water is too close to
the surface.  It'd be a fast way to drown, if one had one and went down there
during a hurricane.

Most of us know where to go that withstands hurricanes; shelters, etc.  Most
of the hurricane deaths are because people did not take appropriate pre-
cautions and evacuate.  I have seen mandatory evacuations, but it's very
hard to ascertain whether ALL have done so.

Love and Light,
B

Well, I didn't know that, Bianca.  So the basements that do exist in Florida automatically fill up with water when there is a hurricane?  Interesting.
