There is one ancient artifact that certainly has not been forgotten and has been searched
for (and, according to many, visited) for many centuries.

Its existence has been generally accepted up to the relative present, but for the last 150
years has been dismissed as fantasy by the Scientific World.

But Noah's Ark is still being searched for by pilots, mountain climbers, explorers and religious
groups in "the montains of Ararat", as mentioned in the Bible. 

Its existence, if it could be satisfactorily established, would indicate that a civilization before
history was once a reality and that it was destroyed by a combination of disasters that
caused tremendous floods throughout the world and whose tidal waves left at least one ship
of refuge on a mountain 15.000 feet high; a mountain whose sides show evidence of wave
action and sea deposits.
