LOL The Dragon has got some game to him. I'll give ya that SD.
I was actually surprized to see this type of behavior here. It's a first for me.

Brooke and I haven't spoke to each other to often but her unbias views seem to show a good personality behind all the information she shares.

Sarah is someone that I have had some delightful conversations with and she keeps me honest with myself about what I post.
I respect Sarah alot for who she is here within this happy lil' group.....

You SD, I'm pretty sure your a sincerely nice person.
The thing that makes you hard to discuss things with is; You make me think of my friends here at home. When I'm around them, I want to joke around and laugh. I have tried to discuss AR material with tons of people locally and none of them are as involved as most of us are.
I don't love them any less because of it or anything. It does make it hard to be as focased on things as I like to be. You definely are an interesting person though.

For the record SD, What is the one thing you are the most serious about in regaurds to research?
I did notice you had an interest in GD's post about Yin-and-Yang. Is ancient technology something that you feel was more advanced then our own?

Thank you so much for the kind words, ParaNormalIam, I believe you add a lot to the forum, too.

Silver Dragon, in retrospect, I certainly agree with your wishes not to rename the topic. To do so might even be seen as some blatant self-promotion on your part, and we can't have that.

And don't worry about misjudging me either (you did so in a kind way, at least). I'm actually a bit on the short side in person and have gotten used to people underestimating me. Part of me likes it that way because it gives me an advantage.

What a generous gift that was for me, Brooke! “HORAAAAAAACK HA RAAAAACK” which means, “Accepted with Eternal Gratitude and Submission”. What a sweet and thoughtful soul you are! I wish I could give you a dragon hug but most people don’t like the feeling of a 12 m rubbery wing squeezing them against a scabrous, cold, clammy, carnivore. A lot of people have a problem with the smell. We flare it off but our scales exude a natural oil that keeps us shiny but it has a pungency. You know the resemblance is uncanny. I will tell you that I am not horned and my head is bigger and I have a great bony crest that extends back from my head. My fangs are bigger (dragons are vain about that!) and my wings are anchored to my forepaws connecting primarily at the elbow and secondarily at the wrist. The colour, scales, rills, crests, facial features and general body proportions (serpentine and leonine) are exact!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's okay, SD, sometimes just being friends from a distance is better. That way, no one gets burned (a little pun on words there!).

My Dear ParaNormallAm,

How kind of you to introduce yourself to me. Goodness me, I am making so many good friends here!

Please, my Dear, allow me to introduce myself. Pterenandon argentum sagiensis of Xian Xiao aka The Silver Dragon, presents his regards.

I am thinking about answering your questions but first we need to have a gentle discussion that will foster communications between us in an open and honest way. My Dear, you write very honestly so I believe this should be very painless.

You have made an innocent but very dangerous assumption about me. You say that, “your (sic) a sincerely nice person.” Oh my dear sweet ParaNormallAm, this is very incorrect. Your are completely incorrect. I am not a person. I AM A DRAGON! SNORRRT! HRAAAACK! WHOOOOOOOOSHHHH! Ahhh hhmmm. Now then. You then state a second dangerous assumption by saying, “you definely (sic) are an interesting person though.” RRROOOOAAR! WHOOOOOOSSSHHHH! I AM A DRAGON! DAMN IT!

My dearest, if we are to communicate with one another you must believe, as does Brooke (sigh) and Sarah (sigh) that I AM A DRAGON! You must believe this in your Heart. You must know it. I will not tolerate imposters my Dear.

Another thing, (and I hate to bring this up because you mean so well) is that your spelling is, well, not up to par. In fact, IT IS ATROCIOUS ParaNormallAm! SNOOOORTTT!!! Dragons are rather particular about spelling and I must respectfully request that you correct your spelling because my desire is that you make the best possible impression when you communicate in a public forum my Dearest.

Now then, we have that awful business out of the way. Let me answer your question which should also remove any doubts that you may have as to my authenticity. You asked “Is ancient technology something that you feel was more advanced then (sic) our own?”

First of all, my Dearest, modern technology is infinitely more advanced than ancient technology. The ancients did not come even close to what you people have today. You people have failed to understand how some ancient feats could have been achieved and do not give your ancestors appropriate credit instead dismissing it as the “work of aliens” or “the harnessing of some mysterious force or technology”. This is, of course, pure nonsense my Dear. And I know you are smart enough not to believe it. Let me provide an example for you of which I am a personal witness.

I recall when you people were moving 40 tonne blocks of stone around. Today, you state that this is impossible even for the largest of cranes. This is nonsense. In fact, all these blocks can be moved by a single person. I am not joking nor jesting. Well, a crew of half a dozen people is easier but one person can still make progress.

Here is how it was done. Imagine a 40 tonne block of stone resting on rollers. The idea is to progress the block forward. Now, imagine a smaller block, also resting on rollers, atop the larger block. Imagine, the smaller block being pulled forward, again atop the larger block, to a point such that the larger block tips forward, rotating as it were, about a fulcrum created by a roller. Now, brace all the rollers beneath the larger block such that it cannot roll backwards. Now, pull the smaller block atop the larger block backwards until the larger block tips backwards again about the same fulcrum. Repeat the process. With each step, crews of 2 to 6 people, moved massive blocks all over the countryside in 5 to 15 cm increments. Larger increments for declines and smaller increments for inclines. The power of the Fulcrum my Dear. Powerful is it not?

Now that I have revealed this secret of your progenitors to you, having personally witnessed it many thousands of your years ago, I expect that you will realize that I TRULY AM A DRAGON!

Kindest regards,

The Silver Dragon

I would also never, ever send anyone a “flying spaghetti meatball”. Good Heavens, I would eat it not send it to someone. My gift to you, my Dearest, was to restore your 5 Star Rating!

My Beautiful Dragon Princesses Sarah and Brooke!

My Beautiful Sarah, we dragons all have shortcomings. Male dragons especially have a very short temper and a pathological weakness for females. Yet our strength is to make our weakness our strength. Hence, the deliberate illustration, for your benefit, of the movement of the 40 tonne stones. One could say that the stones were too heavy to move. Or one could use that very thing, the stones’ immense weight, as the means to propel them forward. The fact that you use your perceived weakness, your height (Sarah, such nonsense! All you humans seem to be about the same size to me!) as a strength is a true dragon quality. Sarah, you have passed another test. You and Brooke are my prized students! You are both well on your way on your quest to becoming official Honourary Dragons. And to Celebrate this, I am bestowing the titles “Cadet Dragon Princess” upon you both. It is customary to drop the “Cadet” prefix in casual conversation though. I shall describe to you the official ceremony in greater detail later. Remember, you are not Honourary Dragons yet! This is just one step in a long journey.

And my Golden Dragon Princess Brooke! The kindness that you have shown me and your belief in me warms my Soul! I am bringing your dragon pictures with me when I meet some of my dragon friends. Your name will be known among the dragons my Beautiful Brooke!

For your interest, I look like the Castle Dragon in terms of wing structure. But my wings are actually much, much bigger in terms of size relative to the rest of me. My favourite picture is the first one you gave me and bears the most resemblance.

Your loyal dragon,

The Silver Dragon

Great to know that we'll both be made honorary dragons, Silver Dragon. What exactly does that entail? We won't have to learn how to breath fire or eat people will we? Sorry if I slandered you unduly just now, I was just curious and didn't know how else to put it.

Any opinion on the authenticity of the Urantia Book, by the way? It occurs to me that you might know.

SD, I like that picture the best myself! The one of the Gold Dragon looks nice, too, hope he uses it. By the way, how do you have a pathological weakness for females if you're physically incapable of mating with any of us?

My Sweet and Beautiful Sarah,

How my heart soars when I see your enquiring and intelligent face. We do have a problem misunderstanding each other. This is my fault as I become so tongue tied when writing to you, overcome as I am with you.

You did not slander me at all my Dearest! Why I was only offering my own imperfections to prove that your own perceived shortcomings are irrelevant and that you truly are a tower of strength.

And now for your questions my Tiny Perfect One (just kidding!) HARAAAAACK! HARAAAAAACK!! Indeed, the road to become an Honourary Dragon is difficult and is entirely at the discretion of the sponsoring dragon (Me!). I understand that before taking this path that you must have some certainty as to the effort required and the potential outcomes thereof. Do not worry about this my Precious, these questions shall be answered for you in due time.

And as for the Urantia Book, I know not of this book. I only study works of Truth, Beauty and Perfection. The fact that I have not heard of this book suggests to me that it is nonsense. When one encounters nonsense, one must take three concurrent courses of action:

One must refute it rigourously.
One must dismiss it vigourously.
One must ridicule it humourously.

Refute, dismiss and ridicule. Rigour, vigour and humour. All components of the Dragon Tripolarity which you must discover and understand to become an Honourary Dragon my Dearest.

Your besotted and blubbering dragon,

The Silver Dragon

Brooke, O Beautiful and Perfect One,

You make this old dragon laugh with your innocence and your human way of thinking, and I mean this in the Kindest way my Sweet. You humans are always so confused about love. It drives you all Mad with your primitive and overcharged endocrine systems pumping away completely out of control. Hooooo baby, I see this turning into another exposition but I shall illustrate just a few points for you.

Interspecies love is hardly the domain of dragons. You humans perfected it. I see the love that you humans have for some of the lower life forms and I am awed by its perfection and tenderness. The love you show for your canine, feline, equine and avine associates in many cases exceeds your love for each other. Your pets in turn look upon you as nothing short of a god or in your case a goddess. Such is our case here. I adore my human “pets” although I am sure you do not see yourselves as my pets at all and are now consequently offended by me saying this. At the same time, I recognize that human females adore and worship dragons with the same devotion as they would adore a god. There is something about us dragons that females revere. I offer this thread as evidence of just that!

And while I remain flattered that you are thinking about the idea of dragons mating with human females, I should advise against it. I am well over 30 metres long, nose to tail and I have a wingspan of over 25 metres and weigh nearly 10 tonnes. Mating with a dragon would be lethal to humans. Even dragons mating with dragons results in a tremendous amount of noise, violence, fire, serious injuries (even death) and property damage on a massive scale.

Dragons mate every 13,000 years or so on a cycle that roughly coincides with Great Year Maxima or Minima. Initial courtship lasts anywhere from 36 to 72 hours involving male flying displays to catch the attention of the females. Females pretend not to be amused and will generally sleep or groom themselves but will then display their interest by rearing up on their hind legs, spreading their wings and vibrating them rapidly and screaming a loud and prolonged, “AAAAAAAAACK, AAAAAAAAACK”. The male lands nearby and vomits profusely, followed by mutual, vigorous head nodding, wing waving and hopping. OK, now comes the tricky part. The male must now approach the female. Females outweigh males by a good 30%. They are also much more physically aggressive and intelligent and will charge and snap at the male, aiming for the throat. They will also flap their great wings against the male which is surprisingly injurious. There is an enormous amount of dust, smoke, vomiting, screaming and thundering noise as two 10 tonne beasts charge and dodge one another. There is an enormous amount of flame and if the event occurs in meadow or wooded areas, the entire area will be set ablaze. The event is hardly private and attracts a mixed crowd of dragons, some cheering support and others attracted by the potential for blood. Among the observers, the atmosphere is quite festive.

This portion of the mating ritual will proceed almost non-stop for one to two weeks, the male circling, awaiting a chance to pounce and the female, fending him off with vicious slashing, clawing and biting. Eventually, the male may tire or have sustained severe enough injuries that he must withdraw. About 10 percent of the males are actually killed by the female or die from their injuries. In only about 15 % of the cases, will the male actually be able to conjoin, an event that lasts only about 5 to 10 seconds, after which the male must flee for his life followed by a long recuperation and in some cases psychological counseling.

Because of the infrequency and lethal nature of the mating ritual, male dragons therefore develop a very pronounced longing tempered only by the certainty of severe injury and high probability of death. Therefore, dragons must work to completely differentiate physical love from emotional and spiritual love with the emotional and spiritual occupying a much greater portion of the feeling of love than is present in you mammals.

This is why O Most Beautiful One, as I related in detail in an earlier post, dragons worship and adore Beauty and Perfection such as yours as the work of God. And they must compartmentalize this devotion from physical longing as approaching females with misplaced intentions outside of the Great Year boundaries results in quick, merciless and certain death.

The next mating cycle is scheduled to begin around your Year 2012.

With reverence and devotion,

The Silver Dragon

I would also never, ever send anyone a “flying spaghetti meatball”. Good Heavens, I would eat it not send it to someone. My gift to you, my Dearest, was to restore your 5 Star Rating!

Kindest regards,

The Silver Dragon

While I do appreciate the gift, the ratings are of no real concern to me. And I know my spelling s*cks, and my key's stick alot, which don't help either !
