From Estella Ortiz, Personal Secretary to SD
Brooke and Sarah and SD’s loyal readership, fear not for he has returned and will show those who are deemed worthy how to participate in his new site. Be so kind as to select
http://the-silver-dragon.blogspot.com
for further instructions.
It will be a very respectful, intellectual, funny and stimulating community and by invitation only but SD is very hospitable to visitors. Unfortunately, it is very difficult and dangerous for him to return here. Over the years, SD has come to be associated with many wise, knowledgeable, intelligent and very funny humans. They are also fearless, controversial and uncompromising and all of us become deprived of their good company and intellectual provocation when they are asked to take their leave. Unfortunately, SD was swept up with them in a recent security blitz and though completely innocent, is reluctant to return.
Good news for you Brooke! SD has restored your precious Icon on the new site! And Sarah, SD says he misses your dry wit and piercing insight!
Your odd friend has returned from his Pteranadonic sojourn in Xian Xiao after engaging in some silly archaic rituals that he celebrates over there. Idiot – always carrying on like that. Claims it his version of New Year and that he must be at zero degrees latitude with his mates. What a fool he is. Ay Caramba, I go CRAZY working for this Beast. Crazy, you know? He make me CRAZY. Crazy like a loco lobo. Ay yahhhh! I get out of here. I drink some more Tequila you know? I don’t know if I’m in love with him or if I hate him. I so confuse. He’s a scaly, smelley, pompous flying peeg.

My Dearest and Kindest Friends,
I have returned to shower a little warm dragon’s breath upon you all once again that we may benefit from the fellowship, knowledge, wisdom and beauty shared in the spirit of kinship and good humour.
Some of you have been so kind as to remain in contact with me and so we meet again as friends. Others I have missed terribly not having heard from you.
I have had many adventures and insights in my brief time away and I look forward to resuming our eclectic dialogues on matters sublime or severe, important or irrelevant, reptilian or human.
And of course, a special dragon’s roar, HAAAARAAACK! HAAAAAACK KAAAAAAAK! To my dearest, dearest friends, Brooke and Sarah!
I wish I had something a little more profound to say but this post’s existence is only to test my Avatar. And it is beneath me and disappointing for you to read nothing but “Test” with your hearts beating with anticipation at my return.

April 13, 942
I find it funny how gullible you humans are. If someone tells you that the year is 2006, all of you believe it. No questioning. It is simply accepted. But if I told you that the year is actually 942 AD, you would protest loudly. “How could that be?” you would say. “Such nonsense”, and off you would stomp, punctuated with further “Hmmmmmphs.”
The fact is, it really is 942 AD. The “Dark Ages” are called the “Dark Ages” because there is nothing really written about them. They extend from the fall of Rome and Byzantium to about 1300 with the occasional scrap in between.
But the real reason the Dark Ages are dark is because they never existed. They were invented, assumed, made up, fabricated. The time line is a house of cards delicately balanced, warped and twisted to support a few, key series of events in our history. The house can and will collapse as more and more information is gathered that will not fit into the current model.
How do I know this? Well, I am a near immortal dragon. I lived through it. I also have a lot of evidence. And, as you know, I am an iconoclast, a smasher of paradigms, un provocateur intellectuel. In short, I am a troublemaker. If provoked I will share the evidence, but only if the mood suits me and only if I am asked nicely. I am a dragon remember. Humans must be nice to dragons.

Welcome back to the forum, SD! Hopefully your stay is just as profound, informative, yet longer than the one before!
This forum often lacks wisdom, and yet it's especially lacking in DRAGON WISDOM!!!
Anyway, about the time, dates, Dark Ages, etc, YES!
We have to take apart many of the things that we've been told and try and figure out why they have been labelled as they are. If there is proof of that, fine! If not, then we need to get some new labels!

Well, well, welcome back, Silver Dragon. As you've missed us, some of us have also missed you. I hope this time that nothing happens to jeopardize such enlightened conversations.
Now, then.
Where were we..?

My Dearest and Most Cherished Friends Sarah and Brooke,
Indeed it is wonderful to be back. Such returns afford me the opportunity to offer, profess and slobber, once again, my deep affections for you both. Brooke, you are by far the most beautiful woman that I have ever seen, as radiant in spirit as you are in beauty. And Sarah, my Love, whenever I look into your face and into your eyes, I see the quiet fire of your soul burning inside you. I am compelled by and besotted with your smouldering spirit and exotic beauty.
Ahhhhhh. Sigh!
Indeed Sarah, where were we?
While I can blither away endlessly on both nothing and everything, I have found that I can be most useful as well as most amused by entertaining subjects proposed by you. Any subject under the sun is fascinating to me.
Perhaps you can deal the first hand
Your hap-hap-happy Dragon,
The Silver Dragon

Hello Dragon,
Thanks much for the compliment. I am humbled by your high esteem of me. One wonders, can a simple Jewish girl ever live up to such a lofty image? Sadly, I think not. We do what we can in this world, and yet, in the final analysis, we simply are what we are.
I think I would like to talk about superiority tonight, more specifically, the human need some races have to feel superior to another.
Throughout the ages, much resentment has been garnered by the phrase, "God's chosen people" in reference to the Jews. And yet, if one looks behind the verse, it isn't so much that God favors the Jews as he assigned us a specific task: to speak of God's presence in the world.
In other words, not favored, not loved above all others, simply selected for a specific purpose. Others were perhaps selected in their own ways, too: the Greeks, perhaps to bring culture to the world, whilst the Romans to bring government.
Along comes another phrase, just as loaded in it's meaning: "the master race."
Hatred came into contact with goodness, in my view. Bigotry is folly, jealousy, ridiculous. And yet, here we are: unspeakable evil was wrought upon a people who lived their lives in utter goodness, more concerned with their conduct in this world, then any reward it might get in the next, and a world, perhaps inwardly jealous, simply let it all happen.
More later, I imagine...
