Osmanagic, a 46-year-old Bosnian-American who runs a company making steel components in Houston, says they are 12,500 years old and that the biggest of the trio - which, it has to be said, looks suspiciously pyramid-like in shape - is one-third taller than Egypt's finest.

Its really funny that man in his quest to geologially build something bigger, has not really understood that this pyramid in Bosaia was not built 12,500 years old.   Smiley Smiley

He never said that, the media has been misquoting him and the scientific community has been slandering the poor guy on purpose cause what he found goes against all the musty old crud their instructors forcefed them back in college.

Pictures of jointed bedrock excavated in terraces aren't evidence of a man-made pyramid.
Spheres, tunnels, walls or symbols scratched in stone don't prove the existance of pyramids either.

I checked your argument Capten. The closest to home was the revealing conclusion;

You might as well forget it, Boreasi, some people will never be convinced by the truth even if it is staring them in the face. I agree that the pyramid needs more research, but what I have seen so far has been convincing to me that it is manmade.

What is more telling is the publicity campaign mounted to smear Osmaganic. That just doesn't happen in regular archaeology, which should tell you that some people have been made to feel embarrassed and don't like being shown up. It's really a pity that they can't get past their academic dogma enough to be objective.

Gee, just imagine if they ever found evidence of Atlantis: what a smear campaign that would create!

Des,

Modern academians may not even comprehend it themselves - but some of their methods are not far from the philosophy exercised by the Grand Inquasitor.

Although the Catolic fundamentalism died out during the European Rennesaince, we have been getting new institutions where dictatorial principles would be restructured. Thus we find the same old power-trips exposed in the established academia of our time and age.

Unfortunately these academians may grow nasty as well, flatly accusing any alternative scientist of being "Quasi" or "Pseudo". The late Thor Heyerdahl had to live with these fundamental "sceptics" throughout his entire life. Already as the plans for his first seavoyage became known - one year before the Kon-Tiki sailed - he was openly adressed and attacked by established faculties. A renown Finnish professor of Antropology was so concerned about his own decrees on Polynesia that he wrote several articles accusing young Heyerdahl of "criminal behaviour" claiming he should be sentenced and jailed to prevent him from proceeding with this "scientificly senseless project, involving an insane, deceptive hazzard that put other peoples (the crews) life at risk".

The same mechanisms have been at work to put the Finnish saga-teller Ior Bock to silence. In Finland all academic institutions are ran by the state. Thus the schisma on Mr. Bock - as developed from the leading faculty in Helsinki - is so compact that not even ONE Finnish acdemian have deared to have a REAL look into the material. In effect it is "tabu", "non-grata" and "forbidden area" as it is already labeled "nonsense". Anyone that dare to doubt that label is imediatly termed as "Kvasi-scientist". Thus they effectively prohibit any natural interest from graduate students as well, since no-one with "Bock-saga" on their resume would not be considered "mature" to occupy any position within "their" institutions.

Thus we still have machiavellian principles at work within modern state institutions, that we all expect to be "objective" in their science and "alert" in their researh. That view may actually prove to be the worst of the deceptions that is still part of the modern, western culture - as a "common understanding".

Completly renouncing that the work of the Bosnian entusiasts semi-scientists have any positive significance, is just yet another prove of this corrupted sceptisim - serving personal bias rather than public interests. Luckily Mr. Osmangic got the support from an international audience, which have now granted a minimum funding and a row of volounters that allows these important excavations to continue throughout the comming year.

Boreasi,

I'm really glad to hear that Osmaganice got more funding! As I understand it, contrary to what the skeptics are saying, the dig has really put Visoko on the map. Thor Heyerdahl was really a brave and great explorer. I saw an Atlantis documentary once where he was giving his opinion on Atlantis. Did you know that he actualy was the one to discover the Pyramids de Guimar in the Canary Islands and helped restore them? I can't believe that they were hidden so long before that in plain sight (just like the Bosnian Pyramid) and that no one else knew what they were. I'm certain they have something to do with Atlantis or at least one of it's colonies.

Did Thor Heyerdahl know anything about the Bock Saga?

You rock, Desiree!!!

By the way, for Ishtar, "Captain Haggis," and all the other skeptics out there, if the Bosnian Pyramid is such a hoax and had to be stopped, why is it that they have just opened another searon of excavations at it?

New season at Visoko 18 april 2008

The new season began this week at the archaeological site at Visoko with exploration of the site expected to continue for 200 days. Visoko town anticipates more than 200 000 visitors this summer. The Foundation, Archaeological Park of the Bosnian Pyramid of Sun, is also planning to hold an international conference in August 2008 and expects more than 100 experts from archaeology and other sciences to attend. Despite the poor weather conditions, several thousand people (video) attended the start of the season this week including media and this will become an annual event supported by the local government. A recent survey, presented at the press conferenceat the launch event, suggests that the exploration at Visoko is having a profound impact on the population with some 35% of the children in Bosnia saying they would like to become an archaeologist when asked what was their career of choice.

The First International Scientific Conference Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids
16 March 2008

The First International Scientific Conference on the “Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids"which will take place between August 25th through August 30th, 2008. Along with the main topics of the Conference, we hope the participants will enjoy Bosnia’s beautiful landscape and Old City Sarajevo, well known for its’ citizens’ hospitality. Additionally, this archaeological Conference could be one of the most memorable events, stimulating open discussions, and presenting of various views.

With a great responsibility, we would like to present all our findings and evidence found during the last three archaeological seasons, which proves the existence of the Bosnian Pyramids. The monumental stone structures that are partially dug out, including the unknown ancient symbols engraved on the megalithic blocks, and a network of the underground tunnels, potentially connecting the all pyramids, should help us recognize the remains of a great master-peace, left behind by unknown civilization that is dating from the ancient European past.

We would like to make it possible for everyone to see, to study and to learn everything about the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids and the City of Sarajevo, without any prejudice. This way, you will help us implement better research strategy of the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids that is ahead of us. Because of this reason, we would like to ask every scientist, expert and guest to visit all four archaeological locations in Visoko, and to spend two days there, before the ICBP conference (August 25th and August 30nd).These locations are only 30 km far from Sarajevo.

Welcome to Sarajevo!
Welcome to the Conference!

Passages Under Bosnian Pyramid 5000 Years Old

The tested stalagmite formed in a collapsed part of the tunnel, which means that the age of the tunnel is far older than the stalagmite.

The “Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation” reported that there is an underground network of a dozen tunnels under the pyramid in Visoko, Bosnia Herzegovina.

A few hundred meters of tunnels lead towards the Bosnian pyramid. The tunnel has been cleared for tourists, and stalagmites and stalactites have been found in the side passages, from which samples have been taken for analysis in one of the leading laboratories in Poland, at the institute for physics.

The stalagmite formed in a collapsed part of the tunnel, which means that the age of the tunnel is much older than the age of the stalagmite, write the Bosnian media.

Professor dr. Anna Pazdur signed the Polish laboratory report, and stresses that the age of the stalagmite is 5080 years (+/- 75 years).

This means that the tunnel complex predates other cultures on Bosnian soil from the past: the middle ages Bosnian state (800 years), ancient Rome (2000 years), ancient Greece (2500 years), the Iliric tribes (2800 years) and the Butmir culture (4600 years).

The age of five thousand years is the minimal age of the tunnel: the date the complex was made has yet to be determined. The foundation is continuing with a multidisciplinary approach to processing the archaeological finding.
