Qoais, whatever he has found looks more like hype than reality, we all know that Atlantis had nothing to do with giants.  The connection with the Bible is tenuous at best.

I guess the guy have managed to get a pretty broad view of his topic. We can all be encouraged by that.

Based on a series of less known - or even "exotic" - sources, he presents some enigmatic, though genuine and objective information, as pictures and quotes.

Can hardly be less than inspiring. Even if the interpretations are still rather fresh - and some of the conclusions somewhat prematjure -  it may seem that the guy is on to something.

Gigantic megaliths, pyramids and temples all appeared AFTER the (last) ice-age.
They are all expressions of the same cultural tradition callled "craftmanship" - in this case "masonry".
Already 7.000 years ago the craft of gigantic stone-work and masonry were existing all over Europe.
Since then these gigantic elements can seen all around the globe - characterizing a period where "the IDEA of civilisation seem to have spread as if it had wings", as the pioneer of modern archaeology, Sir Mortimer Wheeler described it already 1962.

Since then we have all got to learned about Indus and Manchu Pinchu. Since then the old stories of the Bible have been complemented, with texts like the Rig Veda, the Rig Stula, the Hammurabi and the Popol Vuh. Understanding that the common acceptance of these books as "hstorical sources" - along side the Old Testament and the Torah - are indeed very recent.

Backed by outright discoveries and persistent effort modern science can actually verify that an old legend or myth - such as of a "terrible flooding" - now seems verified; as the end-effect of the gigantic melt-down that turned the enormous ice-caps off North-Eurasian and the North-American from the land down to the sea - in a rather sudden "rush" of about 300 years...!

The reference of prehistoric giants are well known from the Bible as well as the Eddas, - though only the latter does offer an explanation about their origin.

Olof Rudbeck stated that in his long career in Sweden he and his troupe of student-archeologists opened countless barrow graves and a very large percentage was found to contain super tall bodies, 8' being average, with some as tall as 11' and 12'.   This was in the mid 1600s.  He said that the more rural and away you travelled from coasts and rivers (where presumably there would be inter-marriage) he found great height still in evidence in northern Sweden.  He set out to prove the location of Atlantis/Hyperborea in Sweden, and indeed found an exact matching of much of Plato's descriptions of locale.

Boreas,

Any info from the Eddas?

ILLIGITIMI NON CARBORUNDUM

Thus ye may find in thy mental and spiritual self, ye can make thyself just as happy or just as miserable as ye like. How miserable do ye want to be?......For you GROW to heaven, you don't GO to heaven. It is within thine own conscience that ye grow there.

The famous poem "Voluspà" (written down around 1070 a.d.) on the Faroe Islands and Iceland independantly) is one of the most reliable texts from the Old Norse Collections. Supported by a row of references from other verses of the sagas we have ample "profiles" of past Giants of the north.

They are refered to as "Jotner" or "Jetter" - as well as "Troll" and "Riser".

In todays Swedish language "jette" means "very" as in "very big".

()Which imply that "very big" is consoiderably larger than "big", which still is significantly larger than "medium grown" or "well grown" - in terms of discrimination. Or cultivation.

In Norway - where we had all tree categories present - "troll-stor" still means "incredibly-big".

In Germany today "risig" is a common word for "very tall".

So the memory of Giants are still present in all the Nordic languages. As they are (still) explained in the Norse myths - even with sur-names and family-names.

---

In the Voluspa they are explained as the off-springs of the early Aser - made at the end of  "the great winter" of ice-time. In some stories they are entitled to roam across kingdoms and continents - to fullfill purposes of peace-keeping, cultivaton or inter-change between capitols of the various cultures.

Is this poem available in English?

It has been translated and published several times in English. Since the content have been rather "obscure" - or "mysterious" - the task of translation-interpretatin-translation is very demanding, with an immediate risk of making inaccuracies, not to mention outrigth mistakes.

You may start with Wiki's short aricle and links - to some of those translations;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%B6lusp%C3%A1

At the end of the day I would recomend the "re-organised" and translated poem, based on the Feroe Island version.

From the Voluspa:

7.
Before the sons of Bor
raised the lands,
they who created
the glorious Midgard,
the sun shone from south
on naked cliffs,
then green plants started
to grow from the soil.

The Bock family saga tells of the Aser returning to the glacier-scraped land they had to escape when the ice-sheet that had covered the Scandinavian peninsula throughout ice-time, broke up and began to slide into the seas.  They arrived to discover the land scraped down to the bedrock, with no soil left.  The saga tells that they pulled tons of seaweed onto the land and mixed it with sand to decompose and become fertile soil.... and today you see the result all over Scandinavia.

Also from Voluspa:

Sounds just like Tolkien... I mean sometimes EXACTLY!!!

12.
Then the rulers
gathered for council,
holy deities
debated on this:
Who should create
the king of dwarfs?
from bloody surfs
and mountain bones.
13.
They regarded
Modsogne mightiest
and Durinn second
of all the dwarfs,
They made many
man-shaped beings,
dwarfs in the ground,
by Durinn’s instructions.
14.
Nyi and Nidi,
North and South,
East and West,
Althjof, Dvalin,
Nar and Nain,
Niping, Dain
Bifur, Bafur,
Bombur, Nori,
An and Anar,
Oin, Mjovitnir
15.
Vegg and Gandalf,
Vindalf, Thorinn
Thrar and Thrain,
Thekk, Lit and Vit,
Nyr and Nyrad,
Regin and Radsvid.
Now is the list
of the dwarfs complete.
16.
Fili, Kili,
Fundin Nali,
Hefti, Vili,
Hanar, Sviur,
Billing, Bruni,
Bild and Buri,
Frar, Hornbori,
Fraegr and Loni,
Eyrvang, Jari,
Eikinskjaldi.
17.
The number of dwarfs
in Dvalin's lineage,
is counted in generations
down to Lofar.
They who came
from pure rocks,
from down below,
to the surface of earth.
18.
There was Draupnir
and Dolgthrasir,
Har and Haugspori,
Hlevang, Gloinn,
Dori, Ori,
Dufur, Andvari,
Skirfir, Virfir,
Skafid, Ai.
19.
Alf and Yngvi,
Eikinskjaldi,
Fjalar and Frosti,
Finnur and Ginnar.
Through the ages
shall the long line
always be connected
to Lofar.
