I don't think there would be any argument in saying that these are steps.

It's pretty clear to me that these excuvated areas are showing man-made structures that are different from Egyptian and S. American pyramids.

However this shows that there is something to pyramid construction that lingered in the other ages that made this type of building sacred. Aside from death, I beleive they were built more for endurence.

Hello!

This is my first post here.

I was fortunate to have been able to visit this site and much to my disappointment, could not see anything suggesting this mountain was man made. The stones that appear to be cut to fit upon closer inspection are just natural cracks and fissures and quite typical of the general geology in the area. Indeed there are some steps, terraces and buildings that have been constructed on this mountain, but these seem to normal constructions that abound in the general area.

The area appears to be rich in neolithic relics, is largely unresearched and still holds a wealth of information.

Thank you.

Welcome to the forum, my friend, the formations certainly look manmade to me!  In fact, judging by the pictures, only a fool would suggest that the hand of man did not work some work on it, the question being, how much of the mountain was crafted and how much of it is work done to a natural formation?

Are you a geologist, Manutlus, and how long did you spend in the area?

Hello and thank you for your pleasant welcome here,

I spent the better part of a day at the pyramid site and another day in the general area. It is a beautiful and culturally rich area. I have a Master's Degree in Soil Science and am absolutely qualified to make an informed and accurate assessment of the site.

It's just my humbleopinion, but don't the workers dig down in layers?  I mean, those "steps" could have just been made recently from the excavators doing the digging, which is what it looks like.  For steps, they're awfully tall.

Yes, I thought the same Quoais. I examined them for wear and thought that they could have been exposed to some sort of foot traffic. Their purpose baffles me somewhat but I am not an anthropologist or a civil engineer so I cannot answer the question as to their purpose. Terracing came to mind for slope stabilization but someone else will have to answer this. As I mentioned in my earlier post, this area is still rich in history and unexplored sites. We can still learn a great deal from studying this area and should not allow the absence of any pyramid to deter us from learning as much as we can.

Hi Manutius, and welcome to the forum.

At best, it is a pyramid made in Bosnia, at worst, it is a mountain that obviously was "worked" by ancient cultures.  So, at any rate, there is a lot archaeology to be done there to find out.  Let the excavations continue!  I don't see what all the fuss is about and why some people want them to stop.

These totally look like cut blocks.  Anyway, it is hardly unusual for growth to occur on stone structures when they have been left a long time. Most of our civilization would be covered up in a couple hundred years by plant growth if we weren't around to tend it.
