This (above) is an introduction to a great big book, HOMERO NEL BALTICO, published in several languages but not yet in English. However, the author- Felice Vinci of Rome, has indicated that he is pleased to send a photo-copy in English of HOMER IN THE BALTIC to interested scholars. That is how I got it. I was blown away, totally engrossed and really pleased to "be a part" of Mr. Vinci's wonderful unfolding of this completely logical explanation of the reasons so much of Homer's works simply DO NOT FIT in the Mediterranean area.

He has presented his thesis in a few places in North America, including in Toronto, in Vancouver at Simon Fraser University, and somewhere in the US too, although I don't know where. You will find comments by various scholars on that thread , too.
