Not that I'm saying only the elite should have the right to vote but there should be at least some demand placed on the voter to educate themselves.

Stupid people put Bush in office, and they vote on issues like flagpins, gay marriage, race, gender and color!  Stupid people are a force that must never be underestimated. Play to the lowest common dominator and there's a chance you will always attract someone.

There's a reason Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin, tho fictional, have such a popularity base.

Of course having Bush in office is like a Peter Griffin Presidency.

Bush has really moved the bar a whole lot lower for what we expect out of a Commander in Chief.  Almost anyone would look better by comparison.

The exception would be John McCain.  I think he is getting a little senile.  The other day, he was talking about tearing down New Orleans.
