It was strange how we just got to the point where we all wanted to see each other in person and a post graduation seemed like the perfect time.

Definitely probably feel younger than me. I am only twenty-seven years old and already I feel as if I led a full life.

Anyway, Dawn and I are friends, too, we have made no secret of the fact at Atlantis Rising, and a lot of the people we have helping us run the forum happen to be friends of ours, too, some relatives, as well. It's quite the chummy atmosphere here, all things considered.

But I know I speak for everyone when I say even for those who we have never met, nor probably ever will meet, you all feel like close friends, too.  Distance, and geographic proximity do not alone, make a friendship, but rather common interests and compassion. Let's all remember that, and hope no one feels left out.

Peace,

Veronica

It all keeps me coming back, and I can completely relate to what you are saying about friendship.
I like being able to express myself as I am without worrying about the emotional bashing that you'll find at some of the other forums.

Kudos to all of you on the forum, and all who are working behind the scenes.
It's a nice place to unwind and talk to smart, interesting people.

I feel very comfortable talking to most of you, and I'm glad that I can get that chance.
Most of us have been chatting for a couple of years now. That shows that distance means nothing when it comes to making friends. Besides, you all are the only other ones I know that I can share some of my thoughts with, without consequence or bias. I can't tell alot of people here at home how I feel about some of the things we discuss. I would probably wind up in the looney bin after being 302'd.   Roll Eyes

Cheesy Then again, us Erie folks call that, "vacation".....

Cheers!

Yeah, Herefornow, Dawn and Stacy and I all joined AR at the same time together, and Dawn, Baph, Veronica and me go way back.  It really is a small world.

That is interesting...
I joined AR just before alot of you came. But after, I found that some of the best that forum had to offer was when the rest of you joined.

We have all had some really good conversations.

Cheers!

"Highwayman"
sung by Johnyy Cash-Waylon Jennings-Kris Kristofferson-Willie Nelson

I was a highwayman. Along the coach roads I did ride
With sword and pistol by my side
Many a young maid lost her baubles to my trade
Many a soldier shed his lifeblood on my blade
The bastards hung me in the spring of twenty-five
But I am still alive.

I was a sailor. I was borne upon the tide
And with the sea I did abide.
I sailed a schooner round the Horn to Mexico
I went aloft and furled the mainsail in a blow
And when the yards broke off they said that I got killed
But I am living still.

I was a dam builder across the river deep and wide
Where steel and water did collide
A place called Boulder on the wild Colorado
I slipped and fell into the wet concrete below
They buried me in that great tomb that knows no sound
But I am still around..I'll always be around..and around and around and
around and around

I fly a starship across the Universe divide
And when I reach the other side
I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can
Perhaps I may become a highwayman again
Or I may simply be a single drop of rain
But I will remain
And I'll be back again, and again and again and again and again..

Can someone hook up the youtube song?

Thank you so much!  I have missed hearing this a lot.  Art Bell used to play it from time to time back about 8 years ago and my Jack and I just loved it....
