Andorra La Vella 'Andorra the Old'

(est. pop. 20,437, 1990) is the capital of the principality of Andorra.


The town is lying at the confluences of the Gran Valira, the Valira del Oriente and the Valira del Norte rivers. The town was the capital of the principality since 1278 when the French and the Episcopal coprinces agreed to joint suzerainty.
