I was listening to Sam Seider today on Air America and he had, in succession, three calls from angry conservatives.

The debating traits of these three bumbling boobs included:

1.  Not having any of the facts right on any of the cases they were talking about.

2.  Talking over poor Sam whenever he tried to make a point.

3.  Getting flustered and resorting to name-calling once they were proven wrong.

4.  Either hanging up on poor Sam or having their mikes cut because they were so mouthy they refused to allow him to speak.

Now, I know all about feeling passionately about issues, and I have had many an argument myself with conservatives (even on the internet) that went like that.  I have, however, always allowed them to have their say, prefering to refute them, point by point.

The conservatives I have ended up argiing with almost always:

Never have any grasp of the facts, get flustered, then retreat once proven wrong.

Happens time and again, and very few ever dare admit that they are wrong.  It's that "not having the facts right" thing that I supposed bothers me the most.  If people are full of it, shouldn't they at least be able to say why?

The answer is no: more often than not, conservatives tend to feel the way they do out of personal prejudice, not any grasp of the facts.

Well, I'm finding this topic a little divisive, Jade, and not in keeping with the spirit of this forum nor your presumptive Presidential nominee's message.

Aren't liberals like yourself supposed to be in the business of trying to convince us to see things your way, as opposed to trying to insult us?

Maybe they're all drinking flouridated water and public school education.  Not just conservatives but a high percentage of Americans.  Ever watch the Jaywalking segments on the Tonight Show ??

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5mjN32G1iI&feature=related

When this song came out no one protested.

Both sides are manipulated by the Illuminati to forward a fascist agenda.   Conservatives push towards martial-law fascism and liberals push for socialistic fascism both of which benefit the NWO.

It's all social engineering.  Look at the rap industry how they can make fashionable misfitted prison uniforms.  Look how women get manipulated to HPV vaccinations because they are conditioned into believing they'll be "protected".   Look at how school administrators act like it's the law to get vaccinations when it's only mandated and you can get a waiver.

It doesn't matter what race or gender you are, being smart is looked at being uncool and untrendy all socially engineered outlets reinforce all this.  All Illuminati backed and driven.  Yet the dumb sheeple will never figure it out.

Jade, I am in agreement with Norman, this topic is an insult!

From my point of view, all you liberal/feminist/pro-abortion unpatriotic whatchamacallits are the ones who don't know nothin.  You get your information from all the wrong sources, too.

How about that 70% military support for Ron Paul there Vernon.  It's a fact.  Now go into your kryptonite-reaction mode.

The topic at hand is not an insult intended to bring about arguments or hard feelings. It seems as though it was more inspired by the actions that conservatives have taken when confronted with more popular opinions and facts about so many of these worldly issues that have the rest of the nation suffering.

Jade, for what it's worth. I think you have done a wonderful job with starting this thread.
It gives us so called liberal minded folks a chance to reflect on the damage that greed and bad management in government can and has already caused.

In regaurds to conservative minded individuals, its likely that they are more inclined to conform to those things that have less to do with any real democracy. Like slavery for example.

Flouridated water can cause the Hypothalamus to work incorrectly. It's extremely difficult to find the scientific explanation that proves this because everyone is effected.

I totally concur with Norman's remarks, the topic is offensive and should be erased.  Jade, you are insulting whole groups of people and should be ashamed of yourself.

What if I were to start a topic entitled, "Why are liberals so dumb?"  Would it last here?  I think not.

Besides, conservatives aren't dumb.  We are simply more patriotic and less free-thinking when it comes to social values.

We believe in family values.

Jade, I also think that you should apologize for starting this topic.  In fact, we conservatives here should keep after you until you offer an apology.

Then why are so many members of the Bohemian Club then ??

You guys are also less free thinking when it comes to the Constitution and 27 Amendments as well.
