Very well, if there were no laws against stealing, would more people do it? I think so, murder as well.

As for, "What gives the you or any religious person to forced your beliefs on others?," well if we want to make the world a better place, naturally we would want people to live by the same moral code.  In other words, who do I have to be?

We all have the same "moral code" with or without the religion or a belief in god. I no not steal or kill just the same as many others do not.
