Unknown...Actually, there are instances all over the world where people have reported remembering their past lives without the aide of hypnosis. Such memories are far more common in places like India where the doctrine of reincarnation is an accepted truth, but there are many people in America and the rest of the world experiencing these memories as well. We Westerners have been trained to disregard all such recall as poppycock, but children don't know that yet, and many parents report their children speaking of "the time before."

I think perhaps there is "a ghost" in each of our souls that never forgets it's own eternal journey.
