Hi Unknown,

I have slapped rotten endings on things before, just to finish stuff, and I learned my lesson!  You need to do things when you are inspired, and you need to build on the stuff you have done in the story before.

Course I also tend to sway towards stuff like novels and novellas as opposed to short stories cause then you can delve more into the characters!

One story at a time, I guess!

You have really been getting a lot of "work" done lately.

Well, I wish I was inspired... I just gotta write, I haven't really been inspired to write for a long time. I never really know where my stories are going. What happens in them is usually a big suprise for me, and hopefully for the audience. My new story is the first one I have tried to write an outline for... doesn't seem to be working to well for me.

Hi Unknown,

You really don't need an outline, just have some fun!  Take something that really inspires you and just go for it!

The most important thing is to write for yourself first and have some fun!

If it's any consolation, I think the new story is going pretty well.  The only thing I would suggest is splitting the writing up into smaller chapters. People read like they like to drive cars, namely pretty fast.  If that makes any sense.  Faster pacing also makes finishing chapters not that big of a hurdle, if you know what I mean.  My advice, for what it is worth!  I think your writing reads great regardless, though.
