As for 2012, well, I caught the tail end of some doc on it at History Channel a few days ago.
All 'gloom and doom'......mentions the end of some 'baktun' (sp?) at the time of WW I etc.

Sudddenly a thought hit me:

So, what happened  to the MAYAS between 1914/1917 and other 'tragic times' for the rest of the
world that 'those who know' always talk about?  After all, it is THEIR calendar, but nobody EVER
mentions what went on in THEIR world.....They are NOT extinct, after all!

Somebody care to pursue this?

I'm really not in the mood for delving into this right now.

Hi Bianca,

I'm reading The Mayan Code right now and have watched all of the recent documentaries on Hist. Chann. and then some!  The Calendar is not constricted to their own civilization or people but for all of humanity on the earth.  There's a variety of ways to interpret the material which leads to different conclusions or outcomes.

Well, Horus -

I take it all back:  Seems that 'the end of the world' is really beginning for the descendants of

the ancient Maya.

The Calendar may be correct in its prediction, after all!

First:

                                                     A DEADLY EPIDEMIC

Then, today:

MEXICO CITY HIT BY 6 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE

Hi Bianca,

I'm pretty sure the Mayan Calendar and associated codices were referring to the end of the "world" (the 'fifth world" to be precise), not just their own civilization or culture.

But you know...the funny thing about the "end of the world" in all these prophecies is that it's always happening for someone somewhere.  Even as we are talking here, someone is dying on the freeway with their guts on the pavement right now.  While that's not the end of our civilization, it is for them! It may as well be from their point of view! Lights out, that chapter is over, spirit reincarnates here or on other worlds, but continues on.

The only thing that really concerns me about all of this is the unfoldment of spiritual paradigm shift during the planetary purification.  The records of Atlantis play a role in this (Cayce said so) and that's why what is happening at Giza and Bimini right now has me excited like nothing else in years!

Blessings,
Paul

Horus,

I am not as optimistic as you in an "unfoldment of spiritual paradigm shift".  Seems to me things
have gotten worse in the last 30 years or so, not better.  And they seem to be getting even more so.

One must remember something about the oncoming much-touted "Age of Aquarius" (which is about
to be upon us - I believe it's already here) :   Aquarius is supposed to symbolize "Brotherhood".
Unfortunately, it is a very disappointing kind - it is extremely detached  emotionally.  And "lip service"
just won't do....

Frankly, I don't think mankind will change that much, although we've come a long way in the last 60
or so years since WW II.

The reason for that, I have slowly come to realize, is that this world is really a "teaching school",
as some claim and it's not about to change much....

It depends on what one focuses upon and how one views it all.  99% of what the media reports are negative things.  There are nearly seven billion souls on the earth right now doing different things.  Using the media to learn about it is like trying to view the whole world with a tiny telescope and they aim it for you and put colored acetate over the lens to slant or bias the view.

Personally I tune out from the consensus reality of the mass mind programmed regularly through media channels (or keep it at a safe distance) -and I feel better, happier for it.

I also don't look at humankind as a whole but as various soul groups with widely disparate agendas, and these groups are not all meant to experience the same outcome.  While some move into an era of enlightenment others will perish in wars and earthchanges.  Those that raise their vibration will be in different reality than those who don't, which is why spiritual healing work and clearing out issues is so important at this time.   It's the primary reason I am a hypnotherapist.

That's correct and this world of contrasts was the construct of the material powers, the lodges of the Sun Hierachy who believe they are fulfilling God's plan on earth but their plan has already been fulfilled and the material-centric agenda is becoming obsolete as the upper-dimensional forces of higher creeation (what Cayce called the Creative Forces) are re-entering for the next phase of evolution -the ascension of consciousness.

There's just so much more going on in the Universe than what we perceive and interpret (or misinterpret) on the material plane with five senses.

Mommy blows up with toddler — this has got to be a new low for militant Islam

Having spent this morning catching up on my weekend reading, I came across this Page 4 article from Friday's New York Times. Here's the lead paragraph: "BAGHDAD — At least 80 people died and 120 others were injured Thursday in three bombings, one by a female suicide bomber in Baghdad who, Iraqi officials said, held a young child’s hand as she set off her explosives among a group of women and children receiving emergency food aid."

Even putting aside our baseline revulsion at terrorism, there are three especially hideous things that jump out from this:

1) A mother deliberately taking her (presumed) child with her as she immolates herself. For all the hundreds of suicide bombings that Iraq has already witnessed, this has got to be a first.

2) This was a line for food aid. Islamists have gone from attacking U.S. soldiers, to attacking Iraqi soldiers, to attacking police stations, to attacking the religious ceremonies of rival sects — on down the line of nihilism until, now, they are reduced to blowing up hungry people seeking sustenance.

3) This hideous crime was played on page four of The New York Times. And a quick scan of other media suggests
it got similar B-rate treatment elsewhere. This sort of act would have been worth a worldwide banner headline a decade ago. But now, it's just another demented Islamist senselessly slaughtering fellow Muslims. With her kid. Yawn.

Perhaps it says a lot about certain people in the Middle East, but it does not define or represent the world of 6.5 billion souls.  It's also typical of what of the media likes to put its binoculars on. Good news is just too boring for the masses.

These are the headlines I prefer:

Horus,

Regarding Humanity and its current state, I think you stated it very well. Not all of Humanity is ready to move forward, and some will not. Not good, nor bad, just the way it is at this moment of existence.

I cannot see through the world through your dream, but in mine, we do still have the opportunity to awaken as many as we can prior to the next ascension. I feel we do this through raising our own vibration and helping all who seek truth and awareness.

Move Forward - what does that mean? In the context of this discussion?

Qoais,

Moving forward was in reference to the cyclic nature of spiritual development and the potential, during certain time intervals, for ‘individual spirits/souls’ to ‘move’ to the next level.

This is off topic and I apologize. It is just difficult to discuss the Halls of Records without touching on some of the possible information within them that may pertain to our present time.

Hi ILAL,

If it was off-topic it would probably be OK as other tangents have already arisen here... but it is not off-topic in the slightest!  The sacred records of Atlantis are all about cosmic cycles, the spiritual paradigm shift and earth changes as well.  Those themes are interwoven amongst the key Hall of Records readings.

At some point soon, I will post a study concerning the spiritual importance of the records which I wrote up several years ago.

Blessings,
H

Smiley  The Mayan Calendar’s 2012 prediction looms on the minds of all of us who know what it might mean.  I’ve watched all the “gloom and doom” segments on the History Channel as well.    No one seems to know more about it than John Major Jenkisns, whose book Galactic Alignment is a must read.  There’s a good article on it on file at our rival blog site Atlantis Rising, called “Destination Galactic Center”.
 Here’s a review on it:

http://www.earthportals.com/Portal_Messenger/alignment2012

I’ve voiced my take on this gloomy prediction, but I’ll state it here again.
The Mayan’s were expecting the Great White teacher to return in 1517.  They welcomed the Spanish Conquistadors with welcome arms into their city, which was well fortified and the Spanish would never have been able to enter it by force.  It was only in believing in their prophesy that the Mayans foolishly let their conquerors see first hand their defenses.  Their prophesy came true exactly when it was foretold.  But NOT in any way how they expected it to be. They got it totally wrong.  1517 was supposed to be a good thing, and it was anything but.  So if 2012 is supposed to be such a bad thing, we can only hope that the Mayans record for successful prediction continues on it’s TOTALLY WRONG streak, LOL.

This is MY prediction for Dec. 21th, 2012:  The Hall of Records in Giza will open itself, and although no one is sure just when the Age of Aquarius begins, I am personally convinced it begins on that very date!  HAPPY GALACTIC NEW YEAR everyone.  And if the world is to be destroyed by a polar shift, sometime in the future, the keys to surviving that catastrophe are in the Hall of Records, and will be given to us by our ancestors as a Galactic New Years gift.   Wink
