                                   HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ATLANTIS-ON- LINE  !!!




I had only been a short-duration member at the 'other place', before I left in disgust
(way before the  "Byron Affair" ) - but I had gotten used to 'thinking Atlantis'......

So, when I got Desiree's invitation, it was like 'heaven sent' - a reunion with all the people
that I liked the most and, by now, was beginning to sorely miss......




I just 'surfaced' from copying that PRICELESS thread by dhill757, ATLANTIS IN THE ATLANTIC.

I just copied some of MY first posts.  I could not help but wonder at how much I have learned

in one short year, by accepting Desiree's invitation......Thank You!

Has it been a whole year?  AO has certainly made a difference in so many lives!  Before, things were hopeless.  There was nowhere for a serious Atlantean enthusiast to go.  Congrats to all who made it possible!

Officially, I believe, the date is JANUARY 21st.

I joined February 4th, the day I got my invitation.

It's been great!!!

Yes, I believe the forum "birthday" is something like January 20 or 21st.  It has certainly made a big difference in my life. Each time I used to post something at the other forum, now matter how reliably it was sourced, I would have someone who had a steady diet of FOX News try and challenge me on it's veracity.

What a relief to find a place where people think normally again.  I was beginning to think that the entire world was a mixture of religious zealots and neocons.

Yeah, I guess that Dawn made it on he 20th and it was open for business on the 21st.

Nah most people are apathetic to politics, neocons just shout the loudest.  Fortunately there are forums like Atlantis Online and www.prisonplanet.com www.markdice.com to go to to find like minded people.

Yes, our first anniversay is coming up!

Anyway, congrats to us!  I just looked at last month's stats and we not only got many more new members, we also broke our old record for posts, by 3,000  Anyone who knows how hard we have worked throughout the rest of the year would know how big of a feat that is!

Actually, to me, it's more "fun" than work, and it has always been so.

I think it's a great achievement, what we've done in the last year!
Not only has a ton of research been done here, but we also have all the cool people over here and left behind all the people who aren't!

In a day or two, we'll have our first anniversary!!!

Congrats to all the people who worked so hard to make this place a success, but especially to - Bianca, Mark Ponta, Herefornow, Europa, Dawn Moline, Qoais, Desiree, Rockessence, Brooke, Mario Dantas, Sun Goddess, Stacy Dohm, Jennifer O'Dell, Trent, Byron, Kristina, Mdsungate,  and all the many, many, many people that have come here, posting their thoughts as well as all the finds they have discovered on the internet.

(Apologies for leaving people out!)

60,000 posts and over 6,000 topics in one year and we are still going strong!
