Uuuuuuuuh, Jennie which Pleaides, there are officially 7 stars in it, but in reality there are several more and they really are a great distance from each other and a far greater distance from the Earth. Where we measure distance in light years; a great many light years.

Diansyl,

The World Tree is just one example of knowledge transmitted to the Ancients via a form of what is called "remote viewing".

Mythic symbol: the World Tree/Tree of Life

Science: The region around the sun is an irregular cavity of low-density million-degree, ionized hydrogen gas that has tunnels branching off through the surrounding denser gas. Magnetic fields effectively create the walls that separate them from the normal galactic environment. Within these tunnels, gas density is much sparser, with some 100 to 1,000 times fewer hydrogen atoms than the average density of the galaxies. As a result, lifeforms within the tunnels are shielded from dangerous flows of cosmic radiation and gas.

The interconnecting cavities and tunnels are similar to the holes in a sponge. The current theory about their creation is that supernovas or very strong stellar winds swept out large regions and, when they encountered one another, merged into passageways. The local cavity has been around for a few million years and could easily have been caused by a supernova punching through the top and bottom of the galactic disk, the intense stellar winds from 10 or so hot stars, a powerful gamma-ray burst, or even a large star moving through the area. Each of these could theoretically sweep dense gas out of the region, leaving only tenuous, ionized hydrogen.

The nearest wall is 175-190 light years from Earth, in the direction of the center of our galaxy. Stars within the local anomaly considered capable of having terrestrial planets include (in order of their distance from the sun): Alpha Centauri (Centaurus Constellation), Epsilon Eridani (Eridanus constellation) Epsilon Indi (Indus constellation), Sigma Draconis (Draco constellation), 82 Eridani (Eridanus constellation), Delta Pavonis (Pavo, the Peacock constellation), Beta Hydri (Hydra constellation), Fomalhaut (Pisces Austrini constellation), Vega (Lyra constellation), Tabit, Pi3 Orionis (Orion constellation), Chara (Canes Venatici), 61 Virginis (Virgo constellation), Zeta Tucanae (Tucana constellation), Beta Comae Berenices (Coma Berenices constellation) and Gamma Pavonis (Pavo, the Peacock constellation).

The Fey, or fair folk, date well back into antiquity. They are grossly misrepresented in todays literature. The earliest oral tradition of the Fey comes from the Irish (a long time prior to the Druids). They were refered to as the Tuatha De Daanan (my spelling may be a bit off here). Though these very early Irish settlers were small (slender, lightly built) they had blue or green eyes, blonde or red hair; they were in no way as small as "tinker bell" nor were they winged. The victorian writers and artists put wings on the faeries. According to legend, the Tuatha Da Dannan were very knowledgeable about the uses of herbs for medicinal values. When the Malenesians (again not certain about spelling) invaded Ireland they were a larger race and pushed the Faery people into the interior and forested areas; but contact was made and maintained as soon as the invaders realized the fey were magical (could treat ills with herbals). Later these invaders were replaced by the Celts who were larger still; but the fey were still used for their magical skills though by now many had interbed into the main population. Those who had stayed mainly racially pure tended to seek out the lonely forested areas in which to live. The stories about the feys, over the centuries continued to make them ever smaller and more magical; finally endowing them with wings in the victorian age. Serious literature on the faeries can be found but one must wade through thousands of the cute, whimsical, and utterly false historys. So, it doesn't really seem too likely that your robust nordic aliens were ever connected to the fey. One theory is that the fey were the original inhabitants of Atlantis who were either in Ireland at the time of the cataclysm or escaped there after the drowning of their homeland. There is a very old tale that says the Leprechauns still guard the gold that was brought from Atlantis to Ireland. Now the leprechaun is another story.

Brig,

Most scholars propose 4 major Celtic invasions of Ireland:

+The Cruithin or Picts in the 8th-5th century BCE
+The Firbolgs or Erainn in the 5th-3rd century BCE
+The Tuatha Dé Danann or Laigin in the 3rd-2nd century BCE
+The Milesians or Goidel/Gael in the 1st century BCE - 1st century CE

Some researchers may question the dates, the extent to which the Goidel or Gael are actually a combination of the Connachta plus other tribes attached using fictional genealogies, and whether certain tribes fit into this invasion group or that invasion group based on conflicting traditions, but this is the generally accepted model.

The major question remaining is, who were the Tuatha Dé Danann? In Celtic culture, a standard pantheon of gods was less important than "the god one’s people swear by", the primal ancestor god who was the progenitor of each tribe.

There was simply not enough cohesiveness to support a group of officially recognized gods in the manner of most other races. Each tribe or family group had its own ancestral deity; Lugh is as close as the Celts came to a universal god, but multi-talented as he is, he still falls far short of supremacy. Yet - if a pantheon of gods was imposed by an outside source, where did they come from?

The Laigin, falling as they do between the Erainn and the Goidel/Gaelic invasions, are certainly the most logical choice by placement and time. T.F. O'Rahilly and others link them mythologically with the Tuatha Dé Danann for this reason. A search of Laigin genealogy turns up several Aongus/Nuada cognates, as well as Art, Fionn and Conn, indicative of an ancestral association with those deities. It is possible that the Laigin, alone among the Celtic tribes, could have serendipitously developed a pantheon of ancestral deities that the later Christians then grafted onto existing records.

The second possibility is that the Gaels brought the Tuatha Dé Danann with them. The Cruithin, or Picts, while they are now grouped with the Celts, are unique in several respects. It is possible that they are the result of a marriage of an earlier Celtic invasion with the people already living in the British Isles. Their customs, especially in matrilineal and matrilocal succession, are quite different from the other Celts. And, according to the recorded history, a colony of Cruithne, who later interbred with the Tuatha Dé Danann, accompanied the Gaels. The main objection to this possibility is that the Cruithne never commanded the kind of awe and respect from the Gael that was attributed to the Tuatha Dé Danann.

The remaining possibility is that a ruling sept of the Laigin tribes was, in fact, composed of individuals whose power so inspired that aforementioned awe and respect in the minds of the conquering Gael that they accepted them as beings advanced beyond their understanding, making them either gods or refugees from a superior civilization. In The Book of the Dun Cow and The Book of Leinster, the Tuatha Dé Danann are described as "gods and not gods", meaning that they are something in between. The Book of the Dun Cow also says, "it seems likely that the Tuatha Dé Danann came from heaven, on account of their intelligence and the excellence of their knowledge".

Geoffrey Keating's History of Ireland equates the Dananns to the Israelite tribe of Dan. "As to the Tuatha Dé Dananns, when they saw the natives of the land (Athenians) thus vanquished by the Syrians, they all fled out of the country, through fear of those invaders. And they stopped not until they reached the regions of Lochlinn (Scandinavia), where they were welcomed by the inhabitants on account of their many sciences and arts.... When they had remained a long time in these cities, they passed over to the north of Alba (Scotland), where they continued seven years in Dobar and Iardobar."

The 14th century Leabhar Breac states that Lochlinn extended across the northern edge of the known world, from the Orkney Islands to Gothia (Poland/Ukraine) to Dacia (Romania) to the Maeotic Marsh (Sea of Azov) and the Rhipaean Mountains (Urals/Altai). While none of this identifies who the Dananns were (the attempt to equate them to the Tribe of Dan is obviously from the same source that gave the Milesians a lineage back to Adam), it is an indication of where they came from and how to identify references to them in the later genealogies.

Identifying the Tuatha Dé Danann with the Laigin does not advance our knowledge, either. The Laigin appear to be just as mysterious in their origin. Like the Gaelic "Lochlinn", the Brythonic "Llydaw" was used not only to identify an actual place - in this case, Brittany or Armorica - but also another place more mythical and unearthly; the home of the Dead and the Faery Folk. The Breton peninsula has always been regarded as a land of marvels where places like the forest of Brocéliande offer a home to fairies and wizards, and drowned cities hint at a Hyperborean civilization, lost, like Atlantis, beneath the green waves of the Atlantic.

The last of the pre-Gaelic Celtic invaders, the Laigin, were said to have come from Armorica at a relatively late date, just before the coming of the Gaels during the first century BCE, probably as a reaction to Roman pressure in the south of Gaul. They have been identified as a tribe of the Dumnonii (or Domnonii), who gave their name to Devon, and were said to have settled as a distinct tribal population in the south of England and in several areas of Ireland, exercising overlord status over larger regions.

Prior to the invasion of the Romans in the 1st century CE "the south west (of Britain) was occupied by the Dumnonii, Iron Age Celts who had held a large area for centuries." The sole evidence of a 1st Century BCE invasion associated with the Dumnonii is the Laigin invasion of Ireland. It suggests that, rather than invading from Gaul, i.e., Armorica, the Dumnonii were in control of Devon and Cornwall for centuries before the arrival of the Laigin. If this is true, then the exact relationship of the Laigin to the Dumnonii would appear to be in doubt.

During the sixth century BCE, Tartessians from Spain and Carthaginians from North Africa sailed to Brittany to trade and from there voyaged to Britain and Ireland according to an early fragment known as the Massiliote Periplus.

When the Carthaginians conquered Tartessos around 510 BCE, it cut off the Grecian supply of metals from the mines of the southern Iberian peninsula and efforts were made to tap sources in Northwest Europe, including Britain. The Dumnonii presence in Devon was already strong at this time.

Disturbances caused by Caesar's campaigns in Gaul did result in the immigration of Armorican settlers, who crossed the English Channel to safety and settled in southern Britain. According to records both historical and mythological, the Laigin also appeared in Dumnonii territory about this time, remaining for seven years before continuing on to Ireland.

Among the tribes of the Laigin were the Luighne (Race of Lugh, part of the Cianacht, "Family of Cian") and the Dealbhne, the "Shining Race", which was split between the septs of Nuadat (Nuada) and Eathra (the Mariner, probably Manannan).

While there is no physical proof of the Laigin presence in the area, this is about the same time that a small segment of the Dumnonii of the Land’s End peninsula occupied unique dwellings called "courtyard houses". These were stone houses, roughly circular in plan, consisting of several rooms arranged around an open courtyard. To a less sophisticated people, these might have appeared as "hollow hills". Houses of this type represent a fundamentally different conception of space from the normal Northern European house form, pointing to a very different place of origin for the builders of the courtyard houses of Land’s End. In this type of house, outdoor space is captured and included in the residential volume and ultimately becomes the heart of its morphology. This is an arid region concept that serves its climate well, but is in total contrast to the Northern European form prevalent throughout the rest of the British Isles.

The courtyard house was about 6.5 m (21 ft) high and 30 m (98.5 ft) in diameter, and is similar in shape to Maes Howe, a passage tomb in the Orkneys, which is about 7.3 m (24 ft) high and 35 m (115 ft) in diameter.

The Laigin, like the Tuatha Dé Danann, are also associated with the Cruithne. Beli Mawr, the husband of the goddess Danu, is the legendary founder the Deisi, later rulers of the British kingdom of Dyfed. The Deisi were an ethnic group descending from the original inhabitants of the British Isles who supposedly crossed into Ireland from Scandinavia during the Ice Age about 6000 BCE - that is, they were a branch of the Cruithne, racially similar to the Picts of Alba, the Lapps of Finland, and possibly also the Guanches of the Canary Islands and the Basques of the Pyrenees Mountains in Spain and France.

According to the Irish scholar le Poer, the Deisi received land rights from their Tuatha Dé Danann overlords in return for military service, much as the people in the frontier regions of the Roman Empire called laeti served under Roman military commanders.

In conclusion, we can say only that it appears the Tuatha Dé Danann were a real people, somehow linked with the Pictish Cruithne and the Brythonic Dumnonii, who, after a brief sojourn (the ‘seven years’ mentioned is probably a symbolic number) somewhere in Britain, continued on to Ireland.

The generations between Heremon and Ugaine Mor, Lord of the Western Isles, appear to be grafted onto the line of the Laigin. "Crimhthann Sciathbhel of the Damnonians", to whom Heremon ceded Leinster, is erroneously identified as an Erainn, or Firbolg. The link between the Laigin and the Domnonii, or Dumnonii, is well established.

The legendary Ugaine Mor was the foster son of Macha Mongruadh and Overlord of all the Islands of Western Europe. He married Caesair, princess of the Dumnonian tribes in Gaul. It was his great-grandson, Maon (Labhradh) Longseach, another Mariner, who was the first in Ireland to make "spears with broad greenish blue heads; for laighne means spears having wide green-blue iron heads; and from these spears the name Laighin is given to the people of Leinster."

From Ugaine Mor to Bran Dubh, the Black Raven, king of Leinster around the end of the 6th century of the current era, the Leinster kings paid heavy gild to the Milesians, first as a tax of "25 portions" and then as the Boroma Laighain, or Leinster Tribute. The explanations given for the heavy taxation are romantical but scarcely logical and no historical data supports them.It is more reasonable to suppose that the Laigin of Leinster were the defeated Tuatha Dé Danann who remained in Ireland as the Sidhe, "the people of the hollow hills", ostensible client kings of the Milesians.

In return for the tribute, I suggest, Ugaine Mor extracted an oath from the Milesians that they would never take the counsel of those, like Heber Donn ("Brown Heber"), who wanted to exterminate the entire Danann race: "…by all the elements visible and invisible, from the men of Ireland in general, that they will never contend for the domination of Ireland with my children or my race."

Brig, Briwnys,
Sir Laurence Gardner's 2 parter in Nexus "In the Realm of the Ring Lords" pretty much covers the fairy and elves subject totally. http://www.nexusmagazine.com/articles/ringlords1.html

Also the Bock saga may shed some light on the origin of the Danaan:

".....this heathen culture. It was extended over millions of generations until the Ice Age which was caused by the shift of the earth's axis 50 mill 10,000 years ago.
After this catastrophe, the so called first Ragnarok, about 50% of the Northern and the Southern hemispheres were covered with ice. Continuation of life was possible only in the equatorial area. In Europe the ice stretched as far as the Alps and the Pyrenees. But as the warm Gulf stream was flowing under the frozen surface of the ice covered seas into the Finnish Gulf, the region of UUDENMAA remained clear of ice. The ASER could live on in this area but were now separated from the VANER who resided south of the ice border. This period was called ALT-LAND-IS ( All the land's ice) and marks the beginning of the arctical culture of the ASER. The VANER, surviving the catastrophe in the equatorial regions, developed (during those 50 mill years) into ten different races with ten different languages based on the VAN language and 10 different myths. The kings of these races were Allfathers in their empires as was PER Bock in HEL.
ALTLANDIS was destroyed during the second Ragnarok 10,000 years ago when changing climatological circumstances moved the Scandinavian ice masses towards the South.
The now white-skinned ASER saved themselves, the knowledge of the past history and the treasures of the arctical culture,- treasures like knowledge of agriculture, livestock breeding, plants and animals. They went by boat to Gotland where they lived a thousand years- waiting for the time when UUDENMAA could be inhabited again.
9000 years ago the Bock -Family moved back to Finland in order to reconstruct HEL, the system of the ASER in UUDENMAA and the VANER in the ringlands.
During the ALTLANDIS time the plan had existed to reunite humanity into one big global family again after ice-time. The result should have been the abolition of the pyramidical society structure after a period of 10,000 years. Therefore, after the ice-age, in every generation ten sons of Bock and SVAN were sent to the ten Kings of the ten different tropical races. Their task was to construct a new information system. In the concrete execution of the plan, however, some of the more than 12 sons and daughters of the Bock-Family went their own way.
The first break-off came already 9000 years ago as DAN and SVEN and their followers settled in todays Denmark and Sweden and founded two new kingdoms ( Ynlingaett and Pol-et which became later on the Vikings ).
The branch of SVEN populated Sweden, Norway, Iceland and the North of England. DAN's branch expanded as far as the Alps, the Pyrenees and the South of England. The old original ASER system was only existing in Finland and Russia (Rus-land).
This first break set off a chain reaction of events which resulted in the eventual final destruction of the ASER system and HEL in the year 1050 A.D.
Similar situations arose as envoys from HEL declared themselves absolute, became Godkings. In that way social structures which based on the principles of nature powers were destroyed. This happened 5000 years ago in Egypt due to Fa-Ra-Oden (Pharao), 3800 years ago in India due to Krishna, 3300 years ago in Palestine due to a women called Murse (Moses), 2000 years ago due to Jesus and 1400 years ago due to Mohammed. The resulting religions spread like wild fire, the sources of wisdom dried up. By the year 1008 A.D. Europe was Christianized, and only in Finland the old ASER system still existed.

Diansyl,

One of the disciplines taught at the Mystery Schools of Edessa was a mental faculty that allowed adepts to see objects and events that were inaccessible to normal senses due to time or distance. What they saw was necessarily translated into terms that were understandable to their human senses and familiar to them in the context of their own time. When they saw the interconnecting cavities and tunnels of our local anomaly, they described it as a great tree, the World Tree. Today, we compare it to holes in a sponge, the "sponge" being the galaxy. The region around the sun is an irregular cavity of low-density million-degree, ionized hydrogen gas that has tunnels branching off through the surrounding denser gas. Magnetic fields effectively create the walls that separate them from the normal galactic environment. Within these tunnels, gas density is much sparser, with some 100 to 1,000 times fewer hydrogen atoms than the average density of the galaxies. As a result, lifeforms within the tunnels are shielded from dangerous flows of cosmic radiation and gas and allowed to develop intelligence.

Yes, but the World Tree, also known as Sephirotic tree in the Kabbalah, describes connections within 9 Worlds or dimensions. Has science discovered anything like that ?

Diansyl,

There are definately connections. Though science has not yet discovered worlds within other dimensions, there are indications of some rather strange interactions between some of the stars within our local anomaly.

Sirius, for instance, is a double/triple star system that is unlikely to support a terrestrial planet. There are many beliefs about the effects of the Sirian system upon the earth, including the belief in the mythical Serpent Race. Djwhal Khul, author of the Alice Bailey books, taught that there was "a welling up of magnetic force on Sirius, which produces effects upon our solar system and particularly upon our Earth." He proclaimed the Sirian energies stimulated both the best and the worst in humanity, as depicted in global conflict.

The Dogon, an African tribe who have worshipped the invisible star Sirius B for thousands of years, claim visitations from beings of this system, and the Egyptians and Sumerians both worshipped the star as having a very "potent essence" and being the "God of heaven." According to some esoteric teachings, the first home of the Hyperboreans in the corporeal universe was located around the star Sirius.

Every 49.9 years, two of the stars in the system, Sirius A and B, come as close together as their orbits allow. As they approach each other, the stars both begin to spin faster as tidal forces become stronger, finally trading places with each other. Due to the magnetic properties and incredible density of Sirius B when it comes closest to Sirius A, it creates huge magnetic storms that cause the stars to exchange large amounts of highly charged particles that are injected into the galactic magnetic field. The changes in the magnetic field have long been thought to affect the heat and rotation of the sun and the planets.

On a quantum level, these waves may even create ripples in space-time known as gravitational waves which produce the quantum effect known as entanglement, where particles become intimately linked so that measuring the properties of one instantaneously affects the properties of all the others, no matter how far apart they are; creating, in effect, teleportation at a quantum level. Furthermore, fluctuations of gravitational waves in space-time indicate the probability that numerous states - and possibly dimensions - exist simultaneously.

So many mysteries in the Universe I would like to understand... Who are really my Hyperboreans, where do they come from ? How did they manage to stabilize themselves in upper-dimensions and if they're still in relation with us ?... Something I really know, that I don't know anything, even if I've studied many. I'm reading things about aliens who will drive our Mother earth in an upper dimension in 2012. I don't believe it. I think there will still be wars and fights for power after this date, if we're still there. I don't really think that aliens could be better than us. What do we make from our knowledge ? Death !... We make the same mistakes since Atlantis. We didn't learn anything...

The Hyperboreans were the Aser, called that (People of the Farthest North) by those of the south. See my previous post on this thread. (bottom of page 10)

The Hyperboreans were described as a race living in the far North, in a tropical pocket near the North Pole surrounded by mountains of ice. They were reputed to be semi-transparent when they first appeared on earth. Circumstances forced them to move among other humans, and they interbred with them.

The legend is that every 5th generation, following the maternal line, produces an individual of exceptional beauty and intelligence. So, it is thought in some places that people who are exceptionally beautiful and intelligent are the result of the Hyperborean genes. The Hyperboreans were supposed to be the predecessors of the people of the Atlantic Facade.
