The Tower of Babel was built in Babylon

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tower_of_Babel

Babylon (Greek Βαβυλών, from Akkadian: Babili, Babilla) was a city-state of ancient Mesopotamia, the remains of which are found in present-day Al Hillah, Babil Province, Iraq, about 85 kilometers (55 mi) south of Baghdad.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babylon

Now I know Wiki isn't the most trusted source for information, but I think in this instance, it will suffice.

Thoth's mother was Tefnut

Sorry, wrong spelling.... Maia, this the international name, as in S.America culture, and the Vedic in India.

 http://www.myastrologybook.com/Mercury-Hermes-Trismegistus-Thoth.htm

Thoth has all sorts of variation to his name like Djehuty, Jehuti, Tahuti, Tehuti, Zehuti, Techu, or Tetu, the original would be Germanic and closer to Zoth, which is very hard for a lot of people to pronounce well, and they softened the start with "th" instead of "tso"
You can tell people of Visi Goth decent, they founded ancient Arcadia, and gave Greece the "Greek toe", the Huguenot`s (Eidgenoss) have the same toe (2nd toe longest) , they brought the secret of glass making back to England 1000yrs after the Romans took it away. Probably the same folk that sacked Rome, the Helveti from the 4 forest Cantons. I should imagine it was them who made the glass first. Pharoes tend to have this longer 2nd toe too.

Even the old English could not say Zoth too easy, you can see from the word "thought" which comes from Thoth.

Even the old English could not say Zoth too easy, you can see from the word "thought" which comes from Thoth.

Thoth is a pelasgian word....Thoth or Thot...It means the talker(wise man). It's a name given to someone who’s smart...like Socrates. The word thought it may as well come from this word.
All GODs of Egypt can be explained by the Pelasgian/Illyrian language.
SIRIUS (has an eye for a symbol) = means eye in Pellasgian
MAT (has a weight scale for a symbol)= means to weigh something in Pellasgian
Pelasgians = means sea-people. I can go on forever. This language is called the language of the GODS by their speakers. It is spoken in countries like Greece, Albania and Italy and some parts of Romania.

Pelasgian means "hairy", these bearded people are said to come from the north,
http://www.pantheon.org/articles/p/pelasgians.html
as did the Astatine from the Alps, said to have founded ancient Arcadia around 10,000yrs ago.
Pelasgian also means "sea people", which likely connects them to Phoenecians, which is where post cuniform/glyph written letters come from.
Plato says Thoth created written numbers for counting the Moon, he is also attributed with the creation of written language.
An interesting connection to these people, is the Greek, and the Huguenot toe (Eidgenoss from the Alps), the second toe being longer than the big toe. Many Pharoes too have this feature.

Some of those are way out there. The Azores and Doggerland should actually be two separate theories. There are also theories that put it in either England or Ireland. Hard to tell which of these are the most out there.  Roll Eyes

Welcome back!

I still lean towards anything in the Atlantic. Plato did know the difference between the Atlantic and the Med, as, I imagine, did Solon.

any of these options considered a "dualistic Atlantis" or just another island in a remote past? In the last case, Atlantis could be any island on earth.
