In this photo released by Indiana
University on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007,
two graduate students document one of
the cannons found in the shallow waters
off Catalina Island, southeast of the
Dominican Republic, Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007.
A U.S. underwater archaeology team
announced it has likely discovered the
shattered remnants of the Quedagh Merchant,
a ship once captained by the notorious
buccaneer William Kidd.
