And the point about sexism in that church is well taken.

Women should become priests. That would eliminate the current shortage of priests. Priests should also be allowed to marry. That might aid in their repression and also might go a long way in eliminating their problem with pedophillia.

To be frank, I could care less how a religion conducts itself, however it would only seem fitting that women should be afforded the same opportunities as men in the priesthood. Personally, I believe women might make even better priests than men. I believe them to be less apt to fall prey to temptation.

And yet, every religion has in it, both good and bad people. The first belief of every religion should be forgiveness. Wouldn't we each want to be forgiven if we committed such acts, even if we assumed we were in the right by doing them?

And today's Catholics are no more responsible for the acts of their predeccesors than a child is for the actions of his father.

We must put aside our prejudice, towards everything, that is how we will understand one another. The church must lay aisde it's prejudice, just as we must also lay aside our prejudice towards it.
