If it's true that there was a nuclear war, way in the past, as all the evidence points to, then it makes sense that some of the pyramid blocks are man made of some type of poured product, to repair it.  The composition of the blocks speaks volumes for what purpose the pyramid served as well.  Being located at the conjunction of all the major Ley Lines, is also (to me) an indication that it was a power source as well as a number of other things.  A multi-purpose structure.
