I wouldn't get too upset over him either way.  From what I gather from what he has said of his personal life, he is semo-retired and comes to the forums moreorless out of boredom.  He singles people out to pick on them from time to time.  It's not personal, that is just the way the guy is.

For what it is worth, in my opinion, you were the one who best supported their position.
