"Freedom requires religion and religion requires freedom!"
Wasn't that a brilliant speech?  And I daresay it put that JFK fella in his place.
Bet you're more inclined to vote for him, liberals!
He's a fella with perfect hair, he's tall and looks presidential.  What more you want from a fella?

That's all you look for in a President, that he has good hair and "looks Presidential?"  Are you dumb!!

It means people should turn a blind eye to his religion, but someone better be religious to some degree to be elected.  Totally hypocritical, as usual!

This power came forth out of the Atlantic Ocean. But afterwards there occurred violent earthquakes and floods; and in a single day and night of misfortune all your warlike men in a body sank into the earth, and the island of Atlantis in like manner disappeared in the depths of the sea.

Oh, okay.  Well it's a moot point, anyway.  I can't imagine a Republican winning in '08, can you?

Hi All ,

Being Australian I probably don't know what I'm talking about on this matter but I do try to follow what's going on in America. The '08 election seems unloseable for the Democrats but they just might manage to screw it up   Shocked  .

I think if it's Clinton vs McCain  then the Republicans may pull of a miracle.... But only if it's Hillary vs McCain.

Why? ..  I just have a feeling   Tongue

Oh and, I agree with Tom's sentiment that the 'religion is freedom vice versa' line is over-generalised nonsense-rhetoric typical of politicians... Whoever said it must be an idiot...  Roll Eyes

Mark, that's actually a line from the Romney speech and you're right, it doesn't make any sense (other than he thinks that people who aren't religious are "wrong").

Lots of comparisons to the Kennedy speech in 1960, but Kennedy blew this one away.  Here is the original speech if anyone is interested:

I actually agree that McCain would be the toughest, but he is still a nutjob (who, along with the others, has no principles).

Ron Paul actually has some real pro-American plans when he gets lected.  Everyone else is just show-dogging until Hillary gets s'elected' so she can bring in the North American Union and universal health-scare for all.

I'm not much for Mormonism, however, I am hoping that if Mitt gets elected, he makes polygamy the law of the land. I can see how an extra wife might come in handy for those Mormon fellas.

Mitt is just a distraction just like all the other.

It's just Hillary Clinton and the NWO or Ron Paul and America.

But who would be First Lady?
