                                               Gobi Desert Mysteries

China Pyramids & Mounds

Gobi The word Gobi appears 99 times on the Cayce CD ROM.

It appears in under a 100 life readings.

Several readings call the Gobi the "Sun Land" and indicate that sun worship dominated
(2067-4; 2091-1.)

In March 1935 Cayce referred to a city buried under the sands of the Gobi (873-1),and
in 1936 he called this city the "City of Gold." He also stated that this city would probably
be discovered in the future. (877-12; 1554-3; 2402-2).

One characteristic of the Gobi civilization was the implementation of a social structure
apparently much like the Mississippian Era mound builders had (2067-4; 1505-1).
The rulers were held in high esteem and lived in temples.
In a 1940 reading, Cayce referred to terraced buildings and temples in the Gobi (2067-4).

A group from the Gobi was identified as having DNA bearing the "X" Haplotype in 2001.
This group may be related to the Atlantean Genetic type and the Basques.

Ancient Cities in the Gobi
Khara-Khorum & Erdene Zuu
Kara-Hot - The Black & Dead City

We are indebted to Dr. Shirchin Baatar http://baatar.freeyellow.com for modern material
and photos on the Gobi.

    Khara-Khorum & Erdene Zuu

The meaning of the word, Khara-Khorum, might be one of the following words: khara-khu'rem
(black stone), khara khorin (black wall), khara-kerem (black castle), khara-korum (black
shivers of the ruins of Uigur's KaraKorum, VIII CE), khorin ger (twenty gers, according to old
Mongolian custom, was a center of the city), kho'l khorin (a place is not allowed to speak)
and et cetera.

The great ruler, Chingis khaan, ordered to build Khara-Khorum in 1220 as a capital of the
Mongolian Empire. The second great khaan, Ogodei, made it the real capital of the Mongolian
Empire. The fourth great khaan, Monke, extended the city and Europian travelers recorded
the city in the world history in 1246 as "Khara Khorin".

During the comflicts between Arig-Bokhe and Khubilai khaan, Khubilai's general Esunge slightly
damaged Khara-Khorum and took over in the winter, 1261. In 1260, Khubilai khaan moved the
Mongolian capital from Khara-Khorum to Kaiping (Xanedu or Shandu in Mongolian), then to
Beejing (Daidu) in 1264. Later, Ming army completely ruined Khara-Khorum in 1410.

Erdene Zuu monastery is the first buddhist monastery in Mongolia. It was built at the initia-
tive of the most influential Khalha lord Abtai Khan, in 1586 on the spot where Khara-Khorum,
the famous capital of the Mongolia Empire of the XIII century was. The stone columns,
blocks and sculptures excavated from the ruins of the city show that various building
materials were used in the construction of this monastery, which began in the XVI century
and continued until the XIX century.

A considerable portion of the building work of the temples, fortress and stupas was created
under the direction of the Mongolian artisan Manzshir and many Mongolian craftsmen parti-
cipated in erecting this architectural ensemble.

The architectural style of the temples combines the style of ancient Mongolian, Tibetan
and Chinese architecture. Most noteworthy is that not a single nail was used in the building.

The territory of the monastery occupies an area of 400 square meters and is surrounded
by a stone wall with 108 stupas. These stupas were erected either in honor of a prominent
historical event, or as the grave of a state or religious figure.

Almost ten thousand lamas lived within the fortress, which contained more than 60
chapels of various sizes. Erdene Zuu is said to have had 108 Tsam dancers and religious
rites were arranged annually in different parts of the monastery.

The Mongolians, Chinese, Arab and Tibetan scripts of the XIII and XIV centuries have been
preserved to the present in some of the temples. The chapel built in honor of the Tusheet
Khan Chahundorj's visit to Dalai Lama in 1675 is also situated here.

Furthermore there is a brick fortress wall with two graves, of Abtai Khan who died in 1587,
and his son Tusheet Khan Gombodorj. The tomb of Gombodorj's wife is placed outside of
the fortress in the so called 'female sector' of the monastery, on the north eastern side.
Three main temples, "Three Zuu" the western temple of which was built by Abtai Khan and
his son Gombodorj, stand in most sacred western side. Three statues of 8 idols are placed
in the temple, the one on the left side depicting Sanjaa who, according to the religious
mythology, was the first disseminator of religion before Buddha, the on of right being Jamba
(the Holy Maitreya), disseminator of Buddhism after Buddha, and the one in the centre is
Buddha in his old age.

The main Central Zuu was built by the missionary Tsogt at the Zungen Lord's ruling. An idol
can be seen on either side of the entrance of the main shrine of Erdene Zuu, the idol Lham
to the left and the idol Gombogur to the right.

Three big idol statues are placed along the northern wall. On the left of the God of medicine
Otoch Manal, on the right is Holy Abida, and the centre the Buddha in his youth. Statues of
8 idols are also placed in the temple. These are the Buddha's disciples, the God of the Moon,
8 Sages and others. A special pedestal displays dozens of guilded statues of idols (chased
and moulded) the works of Under Gegen Zanabazar, a master sculptor and artist. The walls
of the temple are adorned with beautiful works of appliqué depicting the forest, mountains
and caves where the gods pursued their hermitic existence. These pictures are called the
land of the Thousand Buddha of Golden Time, who have descended from heaven to earth.
The eastern temple of Zuu was built by Erhi Mergen Khan's wife and the Bogdo Lama's
mother. There are three big statues displayed in the temple, on the left is the Bogdo lama
himself, on the right is the idol Janraiseg, and the center is the image of the Buddha in his
teenage years. The model of the eastern Zuu temple made of brown sandalwood is placed
on a central pedestal.

The main stupa which is called the Golden Payer Stupa stands in the northern sector. The
three-circled palace of Lavran restored in 1969-1973 is located nearby and is the only
monument in Mongolia of pure Tibetan style. The central square of the monastery, 45
meters in diameter, is paved with flagstones and is named the Square of Happiness and
Prosperity. Legend says that the ger (yurta) of Abtai Khan stood here, a big ger (yurta)
od Benediction erected in 1658, in which the annual assemblies of the Mongolian lords
were usually held. A grass-covered hollow has been left at the place near the square
where there was once a pond. The Erdene Zuu monastery preserves the marvellous
works of the Mongolian artisans, painters, cutters, sculptors, embroideries and crafts-
men of the XVII century.

Erdene Zuu monastery was severely damaged at the end of the XVII century and the
beginning of the XVIII centuries at the time of the struggle of the Mongolians against
the Manchu invaders. It was restored several times, in 1760-1796 and in 1808-1814.

Cayce does make several references to a Temple of Gold located in the City of Gold in the
Gobi Desert.

It is still intact, and the readings predict that it will be uncovered.

Apparently the temple was active at roughly the same time period as Ra-Ta in Egypt
(10,500 B.C.)

873-1 .16  F 39  3/31/35

For, before that the entity gained the understandings from the teacher Saneid in the Indian land,
when there were the sojournings of those from the Caucasian land - where the entity then came
into the active forces through the birth into the material plane, in the name Caunde.  When
sojourning in the lands in Poona (now known or called), the entity's name was changed to Tasmai;
and the entity rose to be a priestess, or a teacher, or as an exemplary activity of those teachings,
of the combinations that had been gathered from Egypt, the hill land in India, and the understand-
ings of those from the Mongoloid land - or what has since become the Gobi Desert.

In that particular land (to divulge for a second) the entity may aid those to locate, under the sands
of the Gobi, a city to which the entity later became as a missionary; and the temple there the entity
had built for self, as Tasmai, as the representative of the understandings in the moral, the mental,
the religious and spiritual life of the peoples in that particular experience.

...

The experience before that, we find, was in the Indian land to which the entity had come from the
Caucasian, and then journeying to the Mongoloid land, now known as the Gobi. There the entity
made for again an expression in what may be known as the Buddha or Brahma activities, that made
for the separations of individuals in their seeking for the understandings of the expressions of the all-
creative forces into materiality.  And in seeking same the entity separated self, and became as a
goddess; for the entity blossomed, as it were, in the activities in the land.

And these made for the services to many that the entity rendered, yet in its return did the entity
give more of the greater expression in that not for self alone but that others, too, might know
within their own experience the TRUE understanding of the Father-God - Abba Mena Henial
[See 873-1, Par. R7] - O these are but words to some, but to thee mean that reckoning thou
hast made in the temples of that land!

877-10 .1  M 45  9/10/36

The entity, Muzuen - or son of Mu, was the Prince that grew under those influences for the
leadership, the directing of those peoples in the experience, as the Prince of the land.

It was when there was the unity, (for these peoples were among those that first held to that
called monogamy in their relationships in that land) at the period or age in the experience of
the mating period, or as would be termed now sixteen summers, that the entity was proclaim-
ed as the heir, as the accepted prince as would be called today - then called Zu-zezn.

There was the beginning of the building of the temple of gold, or overlaid - its beams, its walls,
its panelings with many colored, polished woods.

This was the higher period and the beginning of the entity's giving forth in activity of word
that which became as the purpose in the experience; and thus the greater influence in the
present experience of the entity.

There was the conservation of the natural resources and expenditure for those that would
make for the greater peace or happiness, or convenience for the individuals as they began
their activities for a purposefulness in a given experience.

As to the manner of locomotions in the experience, the entity injected much of that which -

when there is the discovery of the Temple of Gold - will be found; lifts or elevators, the

one-line electrical car, the very fast aerial locomotion - there were a portion of those expe-

riences with which the entity had much to do.

The entity was among the first to establish an exchange between other lands, owing to those

associations that were begun with the lands now known as or called India, Egypt, Caucasia,

Pyrenees and those of the latter portions of the Atlantean land - in these periods, or this par-

ticular period in the Gobi land - as in most of the others save the Atlantean; or these groups,

or this people of Mu, or - as indicated - Muzuen, the son of Mu that has first builded this par-

ticular city or group that became or was the City of Gold - or Golden City; as we have indicat-

ed should be later discovered.

And with the correlating of the thought, the entity became first as the representative of the

Temple Beautiful in the Indian land; and later - and during the period of its greatest height -

in the land of the Gobi, or the Mongoloid. THERE the entity was as the priestess in the Temple

of Gold, which is still intact there.

The entity then, as Shu-shent, made for great development; and from those experiences in

the present comes the abilities for the teachings, for the minsterings, for the leading of many.

Before that we find the sojourn that is the outstanding one; during those periods when there

were the attempts upon the part of the teachers from Egypt, India, Mu and China to correlate

the truths.

The entity then was a princess in the City of Gold; and in the temple of same did the entity

minister - not only to her own people but in aiding to draw the activities from other lands;

as from Saneid, as from Ra, as from Wu, and as from the teachers from the Carpathians and

from Og (Oz?).  These all were a part of the entity's activities - the teachings of these.

Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as the Mongoloid, or Gobi land.

There we find the entity rising to the activities that were known of the mandarinate; or
the leader, the ruler - and close associations in its activities and influences that made for
the founding of dynasties, castes, teachings and the various activities.

Hence we find those inclinations for peoples, homes, activities that brought about the great
disseminations. For it was at the period when there had been the beginning of the breaking
up of the teachings in the land of Saneid, and of those in the Egyptian land - under the
rulers or teachings there of the Priest and the King and those that had set them in order.

Hence the entity was then among those, or that one, that held to the changes wrought
from the land of Mu, and from those activities of the City in Gold - and the temples there.

Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as the Mongoloid land, during
those periods of activities when there were the attempts of the many nations, or peo-
ples of many lands, to correlate the influences that prompted greater brotherly relation-
ships in the experience of man, - or that as may be said to be the paralleling of the ex-
perience in Egypt, in India, in Carpathia, in parts of On and Og, or the periods in the
Himalayas, the Yucatan, the Andes and the Pyrenees.  For there were the periods then
when there was the attempt for PEACE to be wrought in the experience of man.

The entity was in the City of Gold, and among those who were high in the affairs and activi-
ties of the sun worshipers of gold, - a princess, and thus making for influences in which there
was the establishing of what was to be the manner of conduct of peoples of certain rank
or station.

Hence we find the innate forces in which there is the love of the family tree, the
relationships of the genealogy of groups or individuals, innate within the experience.

Before that the entity was in what is called the Gobi land, with the children of the Sun.

Then in the name Taoi, the entity was a priestess in the Temple of Gold, - that is yet to

be unearthed, that there may be more known of those things that are as old as the earth

itself.

For, the love of God as made manifest in the souls of human beings in the earth, is as old as
the earth itself.

Before that the entity was in the Indo-China land, during those periods when the activities
of the City of Gold in the Gobi were at their height.

There the entity was among the leaders or teachers; not the priestess, not the princess or
the queen, but as a leader, as an instructor, as a teacher.  And as the entity sought those
activities which had been a part in the land of Saad and in the Gobi land, the exchange that
became a part of the period of activity of the entity, became apparent among those groups.

In portions of the land where tombs have not been opened as yet, much may yet be found of
the data gathered by the entity through those periods of activity.

The intricate carvings, the steel-pointed work, as the activities upon ivory, coral and the
like, were a part of the records and of the things that made a part of the records through
the associations of the entity with other kingdoms just coming into activity through that
particular period.

                                                               K A R A K O R U M

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

This article is about the city in Mongolia.

For the mountain range in Pakistan, China and India, see Karakoram.

Coordinates: 47°17′57″N, 102°33′38″E

Karakorum (also K'a-la-k'un-lun, Khara-khorin, Kharakhorum, Khara Khorum in Classical Mon-
golian) was an ancient palace and "capital city" of the Mongol Empire in the 13th century,
although for only about 30 years.

Its ruins lie in the northwestern corner of the Övörkhangai Province of Mongolia, near today's
town of Kharkhorin, and adjacent to the Erdene Zuu monastery.

They are part of the upper part of the World Heritage Site Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape.

Archaeological evidence reveals that town life centered on metallurgy, powered by the currents
of the Orkhon River.

Other findings include arrowheads; iron cauldrons; wheel bushings; evidence of ceramic (tiles
and sculpture) production, glass (glass beads) production and yarn (spindles) production; also
Chinese silk and coins.

The palace itself had green-tiled floors, and "all the roofs, made of green and red tiles, had ornamentation of relief."

Household utensils, porcelain pottery and bronze, silver and gold decorations have been unearth-
ed as well.

This local region is surrounded by arable land and once hosted rich mining deposits. For all these
finds, Karakorum has been dubbed the ancient "Empire of the Steppe".

Some evidence indicates that early peoples may have inhabited the area as early as the 8th
century.
