11% percent Congressional approval rating an astonishingly low

According to the latest Reuters/Zogby poll, the approval ratings of both Congress and President Bush have fallen through the floor. The president received good marks from only 24 percent of those surveyed. But he's riding high compared with Congress. The congressional approval rating was an astonishingly low 11 percent. That's the lowest level of public support for Congress ever recorded. Incumbents in the House and Senate knew they were in trouble last fall, when the approval rating of Congress dipped below 20 percent in the Reuters/Zogby poll. http://www.al.com/opinion/press-...92698902303400.xml&coll=3

24% percent Bush's approval at new low in Reuters

President Bush's approval rating has reached a new low in the newest Reuters/Zogby Poll -- with just 24 percent of those surveyed approving of Bush's job performance. That is down from 29 percent last month. It is lower than the latest register of Bush's approval rating in the Gallup Poll -- 32 percent in Gallup's newest October survey. The newest gauge arrives as President Bush prepares for a press conference in the West Wing this morning -- at 10:40 am EDT -- and as the president prepares to fend off an override of his veto of an expansion of children's health care on Capitol Hilll tomorrow. http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/...oval_at_new_low_in_r.html

25% of Germans see bright side to Nazi rule

Respondents aged 60 or older had the highest regard for aspects of the era BERLIN – A quarter of Germans believe there were some positive aspects to Nazi rule, according to a poll published today – a finding that comes after a popular talk show host was fired for praising Nazi Germany's attitude toward motherhood.Pollsters for the Forsa agency, commissioned by the weekly magazine Stern, asked whether National Socialism also had some ``good sides (such as) the construction of the highway system, the elimination of unemployment, the low criminality rate (and) the encouragement of the family.'' I imagine they are the evangelicals are the last ones left, along with the neo-cons looking for a war with Iraq.  At this point, it's hard to think of a constituency that Bush hasn't ticked off.

I supported George Bush, both in 2000 and 2004 because I liked his plans for tax cuts.  Me and my family have done very well under George's leadership.  Let's make those tax cuts permanent!!!

I support George Bush, too, and it is not just that I have done well, like Mitch, under the Bush Administration.  In George, we have a man who is not afraid to project American power around the world. That is needed, in these trying times.

And even worse, if America decides to promote it's terror in Iran, then Russia is going to be against us as well.
I say we vote for Vlad Putin.......
Wink Then we can finally have a president who knows enough to not attack people for material wealth and power.

I'm pretty sure that we can beat Russia in a fair fight, but you are sure right, it shouldn't have to come to that. I can't believe you like ole Putty over George W., though.  Putin is a greedy dictator that doesn't care about the rights of his people!

I know the feeling! Now of these repukitans are denying any of it either which makes me feel abit funny about this thread in particular.
Hmmmmmmm

Angry Makes you wonder what there real intentions are here.
Something just doesn't feel right.
They are after something else Volitzer, atleast in theory.
They aren't even defending themselves from the attacks.......
Propaganda, is used to blind side the enemies......
Mean time they are probably combing our threads because of things that we all discuss to find out what we know and what we don't by what we say.

It does sound paranoid but think of the times my friends.

Roy, are you with the CIA, FBI, NSA?
Illuminati? Shadow Goverment?
Angry Or I could run a trace?

I have friends with all kinds of talents. So out with it.
Who are you and these friends of yours really?

Were you aware of the military presents of both Russia and China in the S. Pacific together?
Smiley In a fair fight with Iran and Russia alone combined with Iraq we have our hands plenty full.
When talking China as a friend to Russia, you can bet you butt that America is going to lose very badly.
This country is just not that powerful economically nor can you stretch US military forces that thin and maintain home-land security.

Your asking these countries to kill us if you think we even stand a chance against the above goverments combined.
And don't think for a second Russia will back down from a fight with us.
Roy, if George is a friend of yours, you might really want to mention this to him.
It's that or your looking at WW3 and a half. America the Great will become the united states of China, and you will be joining the rest of us in those FEMA camps bud.
