Chronos:

I have never been able to vote on WHERE WAS ATLANTIS.  As it  just
reappeared, I tried to.  Still no dice.

By the way, the POLLS section is not showing .  I only found it be-
cause I saw Mark's post and followed it.

Bianca,

I just set that poll for "allow user to change vote."  It could be that you voted in it once before and forgot, but, in any event, you should be able to vote in "Where was Atlantis?" now.

As for why, "polls," isn't appearing, it is in the last section of the Atlantis category, just after "Atlantis in the Media."  Did you collapse the Atlantis category?

Chronos.

Didn't the POLLS category used to be all by itself, or am I 'losing it'?

Anyway, thanks.  I voted in "Where was Atlantis?" and a bunch of
other stuff.

Didn't there used to be a DELETE/CANCEL button on the posts, so that one

could change his/her mind after typing an entry?

If so, where is it now?

thank you, B

Hi Bianca,

Yes, you are right, there used to be a delete button, but we got rid of it. The reason?  Not only can someone delete their own posts, but whole topics that they started, along with anyone else's posts that used to be in the topic as well.

One member from Atlantis Rising used to do that all the time and it got to be quite a problem - any topic she started she would also get rid of it whenever the mood struck her, along with everyone else's work therein as well.

When that began to happen here, we decided to learn from past mistakes.

You can still change or delete what you have written by hitting the button, "modify."

Thank you, Goddess.  Sometime when I copy something, after I am done,
I think part of it should be together with the previous part and that's
when the REMOVE  button came in handy.

Otherwise, I am going to echo Mark "......I aint having any so I guess I will
just say how great this forum is.

WELL DONE to all the administrators."

Sun Goddess:

Just getting out of the post without clicking on "SAVE" or anything does not
work for me.  As I am just learning to 'cut and paste', I found that the only
way I could delete a post was by BACKSPACING - don't try that on FOUR LONG
POSTS -------

Anyway, now I find that I can't backspace on something and I need some help.

I posted something on ATLANTIS IN THE NEW AGE under CHANNELING that has
six pages.  Well, the site would not allow me to post more than the FIRST page.
So, I thought I would start a new topic and try again.  No dice.....

I outfoxed them and printed out the rest of the article, so I can type the rest.

Would someone please delete in CHANNELING & ATLANTIS Michael Scallion's
first page.

Make sure you leave [ATLANTIS - Gordon Michael Scallion] alone, as that's where
I plan to continue the article.

Thank you.

Hi Bianca,

The system edits posts if they are too long.  We took the word limit off, but it does it anyway. Really long posts are best split off into sections.

As for deleting unwanted material, heaven forbid that you need to backspace on all of it!  Best thing to do is click on the "body" of the post, a menu will come up, hit "select all," then "cut."

Hope that helps.

EUROPA:

IT WORKED!  Thank you, no more back-spacing.........

I bought one of those for DUMMIES books to go with my new computer,
but it seems to have everything except the things I need.  It's called
"The EveryDay Internet All -in-OneDesk Reference for Dummies"
Eight Books in One - 2005 Edition.  Yuk, as if I needed to learn to shop!

When I type a post myself, I have had to shorten my posts because this
new keyboard is so sensitive that, if I accidentally touch it (even lightly),
my whole post will go into "cyberia".  It's a heartbreak when the post is long.

Thanks again, Europa!

Love and Peace,
B

Europa:

I hate to bother you again, but I double posted something and I cannot seem to be

able to DELETE the superfluous post, either by your method or by backspacing

Of course, it was easy to lose a couple of posts I DIDN'T want to lose......

Thank You for any help,

Love and Peace,

Hi Bianca,

If you ever delete anything by accident (before posting it), just click on the post, a menu will pop up, and you can hit, "undo."  The yext should reappear.

Which other post did you want deleted?

Hi, Elric,

Nice to "meet you".......

What I need deleted is in:

OCCULT >  Communicating with the dead  >  "Arthur Conan Doyle SPIRITUALISM and Houdini"

> SECOND Post that starts:  "Why would a man........".

Thank you very much.  I'll try your tip next time I 'blow it', which will probably be soon......

Love and Peace,

Bianca, I've removed that post for you, let us know if you need anything else changed/deleted.

Nice work, by the way, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle led a very interesting life.
