Reconstructed wall decoration from the temple Akhenaten built at Karnak. The building was later demolished and its stone blocks ("talatats") were built into the 9th pylon of the Amun temple during Horemheb's reign.

Picture of a statue of the Egyptian goddess Hathor from the Luxor Museeum, Luxor, Egypt. The statue is from the period of the XVIIIth Dynasty and was found at the Luxor temple. The statue is about human size. The picture was taken by Kim Bach, Copenhagen, Denmark on the 17th of October 2004

Sobek and Amenophis 3 in a beautiful alabaster statue. Found at Dahamsha.


Statue of Amenophis 3 in black granite. The inscriptions on the base claims "Beloved of Amon-Re. Lord of Karnak".


Internal organs were removed from the deceased, treated and placed in canopic jars. The four jars were closed with lids formed heads; human, baboon, falcon and jackal. They represented the four protective spirits called the Four Sons of Horus. The canopic jars here were used to contain the organs of the priest Mentu
