This power came forth out of the Atlantic Ocean. But afterwards there occurred violent earthquakes and floods; and in a single day and night of misfortune all your warlike men in a body sank into the earth, and the island of Atlantis in like manner disappeared in the depths of the sea.

The NASA picture below shows the large dolphin, Eleuthera Island, and the small dolphin (12 mile length) on the north end of Cat Island and the underwater structures similar to dolphin shapes to the east and the west of the Long Rock.  The circular structure at the location guessed to be Poseidon's Palace is also shown and appears to be the focus of Eleuthera Island.

If this was the actual site of Poseidon's Palace then it has been eroded so badly that only the footprint remains.

Where's your source?

BTW, Italy is NOT  an island, it is a peninsula!
