the History of Halloween

I still remember apple cider, and hay rides through the woods at twi-light.
Stories about dark, decaying houses. Black shutters, and dark shapeless figures in the windows.

We go to the Pennsylvania wine country in the vineyards of NorthEast just on the other side of Harborcreek where some of the residents have a Halloween fest.

They where hoods and group together carrying torches to meet at the old Franklin Farm.
I've been trying to find pictures on this so bare with me.
They have even preformed black masses and other satanic rituals in the grounds of this farm.
I have gone to watch and document anything out of the ordinary, and thus so far nothing.
Thankfully!

The community of NorthEast is alot like a scene from out of children of the corn, without seeing the faces of those in whom are seeing you.
You can literally feel that your only tolerated, but never welcome among the crowd.
If ever any of you do run across this story again. I'm hoping that it won't be followed with a police report about a human sacrifice........

So, at this Halloween festival you go to, they have black masses and satanic rituals?  Wow, I'd like to hear more about that.

Halloween is the coolest time of the year, especially when it gets all cold and rainy out, like now.

Don't really think that Satan worship is as prevalent as people say it is, though. Lots of the old pagan stuff, people just assume they are worshipping Satan, when he isn't even one of their gods

Well the popular beleifs involving Satanism is that the Devil is more of the scape-goat.
It tends to reflect on how humans are more like animals acting out of instict, then divine thinking.
Anton LeVay published the Satanic Bible and alot of what satanism is today is based on what he taught it to be.
I've kept an eye on this, and other less popular religions because I am looking for that broader perspective about why humans seek that divine intervention. As it stands, satanism does offer some really keen insights about human nature. However, it also carries a tone of selfishness that doesn't fit with my own personal outlook on life.
It is kinda unique to think that the North-East corner of our country is so popular to satanist.
Ecspecially with all the conspiracy theories about the free mason's, and North-East twp having it's own satanic festival. Pennsylvania. The Keystone State. 

Makes you wonder huh?

One of the things I think is interesting is, you know how after most of us pray- We say Amen.
They end a sermon with- Shemhamforash Ave Satanas'
To this day, I have no idea what this means but I'm guessing Ave means hail and then satan.
