I have been reading Oliver's paper (below). I read about expensive expeditions to Crete and Thera, resulting in reports without any conclusions. Oliver D. Smith writes that there are no Egyptian records about Atlantis. Oh really? Let us begin with the fact that he had seemingly never heard of the principle of the aionian times in the Bible (Ephesians 3:9, 11). So if he is searching for Atlantis, in which aion does he expect to find it? Then there is the Egyptian Book of the Death in which Osiris is called the Lord of the underworld in the West. This underworld was exactly the position of Atlantis who had for some reason condensed it into a physical island. I read nothing about the horizon as an expression of olam/aion. I read nothing about the three Floods of Deucalion that are written in the Leiden Papyrus #344. And so on. I read nothing about th sphinx, Baal Tsaphon.

Oliver calls Crete's civilization Minoan while the Bible calls it Philistinian. Their god was Dagon, who was Poseidon (1 Samuel 5). On P. 4 he discusses that Crete cannot be Atlantis becuase it is located within the Pillars of Hercules. Indeed, Crete is only a "type" of Atlantis. After the Tower of Babel it was a next step in the evolution of a growing Atlantis model. Only at it's end, Atlantis would grow outside the Pillars of Hercules.

P. 9, the Sea People are unknown, according to Oliver. Well, they were the Philistines.

John V. Luce connected Atlantis to Egypt and Babylon. Because Herodotus did so. Indeed were Tyrus, Sais and Babylon the three dimensions of Atlantis. Tyrus was a twin city of Babylon in terms of corruption. But Plato spoke clearly about a vast empire in a way as the earth in the first and seconds aions was a vast landmass. This could only be the Fourth evil empire in Daniel 7:19; 7:23. This Fourth empire is a compilation of all previous empires.

Conclusion: without buying expensive equipment for expensive expeditions I can say that Atlantis is simply a theological rather than an archeological issue.
