Dinosaur bones found in Burgos
By h.b. - Aug 5, 2007 - 9:42 PM

A femur and tibia have been found at La tejera in Barbadillo del Marcado in Burgos

A femur and tibia bones from a dinosaur have been found at a site at La Tejera in Barbadillo del Mercado, Burgos.

They are thought to have come from the vegetarian Iguanodón.

The femur is 1.2 metres long and the tibia 1.1 metres, indicating experts to think the dinosaur itself weighed five tons.

The director of the excavation site, Fidel Torcida, said that the bones came to light as land was eroded in recent rains.
