The Two Main Behemoths Clash in Leaked Godzilla vs. Kong Art
Even though fans will have to wait for a little bit longer than expected, Godzilla and King Kong will still clash in the newborn MonsterVerse. Warner Bros. may have Godzilla vs. Kong pushed out of its November 2020 slot, but it seems that there is still a lot of hype surrounding this movie. While we await an official trailer, artwork purported to be from the upcoming Playmates toys leaked online. In the leaked art, the two monsters face off in front of a war landscape with missiles and burning battleships.

Last time he was on the big screen, Godzilla took his place as the ruler of all Titans right at the end of Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Many fans noticed Kong’s absence from the final clash despite the many references to him throughout the film. Recently, King of the Monsters director Mike Dougherty explained that the reason why is the fact that he only cared about his Skull Island. Unfortunately, the movie was a financial disappointment at the box office.

Adam Wingard is directing Godzilla vs. Kong, which is a follow-up to both King of the Monsters and Kong: Skull Island. In Warner Bros.’s plans, the movie will hit the theaters on May 21, 2021.
