A homeowner and his family were forced to flee when the enormous cat simply walked in the front door.
The incident, which occurred in the Indian state of Assam, followed a period of heavy flooding that killed dozens of animals at Kaziranga National Park while enabling several others to escape.

According to reports, the female tiger had been spotted near a highway before jumping over the wall of a scrap garage, entering the building and laying down to sleep on the owner's bed.

Fortunately animal handlers from the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) were able to cordon off the area so that when the big cat finally awoke, she was able to safely leave the premises.

"She was very exhausted and had a nice day-long nap," said Rathin Barman who lead the operation.
