Godzilla: King Of Monsters TV Spot Teases More Titans
A new TV spot for Michael Dougherty’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters made its way online, teasing that fans will see more creatures threatening planet Earth than previously imagined. Ken Watanabe ominously says that the number of Titans on Earth are “seventeen and counting,” hinting at even more giant monsters. After all, the King of the Monsters has made quite a few enemies along the years, and not just Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah.

The Godzilla sequel stars Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air, The Conjuring films), Kyle Chandler (The Wolf of Wall Street, Manchester by the Sea), Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Bradley Whitford (Get Out), Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton), Aisha Hinds (Star Trek Into Darkness), and Zhang Ziyi (Memoirs of a Geisha, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai) and Sally Hawkins (Blue Jasmine), both reprise their Godzilla roles.

The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Godzilla: King of The Monsters stomps into theaters on May 31.
