Ridley Scott teases two more Alien: Covenant sequels, not four
Report: Two Alien TV Series May Be In Development
Ridley Scott returned to the Alien franchise when he directed 2012’s Prometheus and 2017’s Alien: Covenant. While both films underperformed at the box office, they reignited interest in the beloved sci-fi series. Now, it looks like the Xenomorphs are potentially getting a new lease on life.

According to HN Entertainment, Scott may be executive producing an Alien series for Hulu. The report suggests that the series could adopt an anthology formal similar to FX’s Fargo. In other words, each individual season would cover a different regions or era of the Alien universe.

Although this news is only a rumor, Hulu seems like the logical platform for an Alien series. The films were released by 20th Century Fox, which is currently in the process of merging with Disney. Fox and Disney each owned a 30% stake in Hulu, which will give the combined company a majority when the merger is complete. After this, the streaming site could be the go-to destination for content not family-friendly enough for Disney+.

HN Entertainment didn’t offer any additional details about the second potential Alien series. So there’s not much to go on at the moment.

Currently, Scott is working with TNT on another sci-fi series, Raised by Wolves, which centers on two androids raising human children. He’s also reportedly developing a sequel to 2000’s Gladiator.

Would you be open to the idea of a pair of Alien series making their way to Hulu? Tell us what you think in the comment section below!
