OWS Steampunk Anthology
What they want:
Between now and January 28, we’re accepting short stories in the Steampunk genre. We’re looking for stories that cover a wide range of Steampunk topics.

Though many of the works in the Steampunk genre take place in London during Victoria’s reign, don’t let that limit you. The steam era happened all over the world and with different consequences. The “scientific romances” of the 19th century are a wonderful place to get inspiration, and those stories take their characters into the center of the earth, into outer space, and through time. So get ready to spread your pneumatic wings and let your imagination fly!

One of the amazing things about Steampunk is how it can be mashed up with a variety of genres. So bring us your horror, your romance, your adventure, and everything in between. Deadline: January 28, 2019
Length: 3,500-10,000 words
Payment: Royalties + ebook contributor copy

Moonlight: A Queer Werewolf Anthology
What they want:
This anthology is a small collection of comics and short stories about queer werewolves.

Whether your werewolves are in space, school, or ruffing it in the outdoors, it doesn’t matter to us! We are looking for stories that span genres and tones. Your werewolves may be moody or the life of the party. All that matters is that they are openly queer and that there is an engaging story around them to be told.

Content creators do not need to identify as queer and/or LGBT+, however preference will be given to own voices and/or LGBT+ creators.Deadline: November 30, 2018
Length: 1,000-2,000 words preferred
Payment: $0.07 CAD/word for short stories

The Worlds of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Vol V
What they want:
Original - (previously unpublished - NO REPRINTS) genre fiction that explores as well as entertains. Readers like to get involved with bright characters and strange worlds. They like to be frightened and unnerved and they like to see magic and fantasy worlds that are not a slightly different Tolkien or Martin. Read the FREE anthologies published in the previous 4 years and get a feel for what can get across the line. I have no set taste pattern, as the anthologies will show, and I try and not stamp my preferences over the work selected. The material simply has to be good and it has to be the best you can offer. Deadline: October 15, 2019
Length: 5,000-10,000 words
Payment: AUD$75
Submission Guidelines: http://www.robertnstephenson.com/anthology.html
Vampires, Zombies and Ghosts
What they want:
We welcome stories involving all types of supernatural beings… and mixing and matching of different types of beings in the same story is acceptable. There is no requirement as to genre; stories can be sci-fi, mystery, romance, adventure, etc. Simultaneous submissions permitted, but please let us know if your submission is accepted elsewhere. Reprints are accepted as long as all rights have reverted to you; please identify your submission as a reprint when you send it in.Deadline: December 15, 2018
Length: 1,200-6,000 words
Payment: $20

Vex Me No More
What they want:
We want your witch stories! Though they do not necessarily have to be female-centric, they do need to be tales of powerful, unique beings. Remember, this is a horror anthology, so while you can have elements of other genres, we want to be scared. Deadline: December 31, 2018
Length: Up to 5,000 words
Payment: 0.02/word + contributor copy
