Plato made nowhere the suggestion that Atlas was an earthly king. In Critias 113/114 he said clearly that Atlas was the son of Zeus. Also the mother of Atlas who was Cleito was the daughter of Leukippe. She was called white horse (Revelation 6:2) and was also not a human. Plato knew that Atlas and his brothers were non-humans. It is our generation who had made earthly kings out of the story. The information was always there but we simply ignored it.

Odysseus was thematically the same character as Atlas. Helen of Troy and Athena were the same characters. While Atlas and Poseidon resembled Nebo and Marduk in Isaiah 46:1.
