The site of the infamous 1947 UFO incident is being opened up to the public for tours next month.
There are few events in UFO lore as hotly debated as the Roswell incident, an event that has been covered in countless books, documentaries, TV shows and movies over the last few decades.
Now for the first time, people interested in visiting the actual UFO crash site will be given the opportunity to do so during the annual Roswell UFO Festival next month.
The crash site itself is located on a working ranch which has never been open to the public before.
"We're working side by side with the UFO Festival and local businesses to feature yet another fun, educational and exciting event to an already thriving economic resource for our community," said Lauren Bogle, the tour company's CEO.
"The entire experience will showcase the culture of New Mexico and our ranching heritage through fun activities, food, souvenirs and experiences while on the tour."
Last year marked the Roswell incident's 70th anniversary.
"Roswell is really the ground zero of the UFO phenomenon," said former MoD UFO researcher Nick Pope. "It's the place not just where there was a sighting, here the suggestion was that something crashed, if that's true, the US government has in its hands definitive evidence that we are not alone."
