Adorable little girl has the most terrifying imaginary friend ever

Kids just say the darndest most soul-crushingly terrifying things, don't they?

Meet Ruby, 3, who either has an extremely vivid imagination or is being haunted by a pregnant teen ghost. The little girl's description of her imaginary friend (who, frankly, sounds more like a trapped spirit from another era) was tweeted on Monday by actress Natalie Morales.

Ruby, you have a ghost. This is straight up terrifying. pic.twitter.com/DM0y77CWHI

Morales was rightfully scared by Ruby's "imaginary mum, Grateful." The child details many frightening specifics about her so-called friend: "Her yellow eyelashes mean she can see in the dark — she only comes to see me at night-time. It scares me sometimes, but I always want her to come back. She has two babies in her belly. She's 14, but can never have a birthday."

😱

Since we don't know where Ruby's statement originally appeared, there's no way for us to find out if she's still being visited by Grateful or if she's since grown up to write screenplays for horror flicks.

Naturally, Ruby's "friend" has garnered any number of horrified reactions in GIF form.

Best of luck sleeping tonight with "She's 14, but can never have a birthday" running through your head!
