"Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke says she thinks her co-stars are filming alternate endings to the series for season eight.
But Clarke said even she probably doesn't know which is the "real" ending.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Clarke said, "I think that they don't even trust us."
We've heard about the "multiple endings" plan before from HBO president Casey Bloys.
This might be an elaborate plot to throw off would-be leakers and spoilers.
Any future leaks will have to be taken with a grain of salt because they might not be "real."
Almost as soon as "Game of Thrones'" seventh season concluded last year, HBO began spreading word of a plan to thwart the spoiler-hungry fanbase. Now Emilia Clarke is adding fuel to the fire with a new interview in The Hollywood Reporter.
"I think they're filming a bunch of stuff and they're not telling us," Clarke said on THR's "Awards Chatter" podcast.
According to Clarke, not only might "they" (likely a reference to co-creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss) be shooting fake endings, but they aren't cluing the cast into which ones are real or not.
Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington are posing for a picture: game of thrones daenerys jon snow© Provided by Business Insider Inc game of thrones daenerys jon snow Here's the full section from "Awards Chatter" for context:
Scott Feinberg: "How long have you known how ["Game of Thrones"] is going to end?"
Emilia Clarke: "I don't even know that I do now. I'm being serious. I think they're filming a bunch of stuff and they're not telling us. I'm being serious — I'm being deadly serious. I think that they don't even trust us."
Feinberg: "So you don't know who ends up on the throne?"
Clarke: "No. I don't even know. I read what I read last year — I've read those scripts. Holy moly. [It] took me a couple hours to come down from that. That was the most intense reading experience of my life."
Feinberg: "But you didn't read the last episode?"
Clarke: "I did, and since then, people are saying something on set and you're just like, 'I think that they're filming other stuff.' And everybody's being really cagey about it. And then there's a lot of like 'Wait why're you — what are you — wait a second.' Cause there's lots of different endings that could happen that I think that we're all doing all of them and we aren't being told which is actually what's gonna happen."
It sounds like Clarke is saying that she's noticed comings and goings on set that don't seem to add up with the scripts she and the cast received last fall. And not only that, but she says she thinks Benioff and Weiss are keeping the real ending a secret — even from the cast.
Last year, HBO programming president Casey Bloys spoke about a similar-sounding plan.
"I know 'Game of Thrones,' the ending, they're going to shoot multiple versions so that nobody really knows what happens," Bloys said at Moravian College in Pennsylvania, local paper The Morning Call reported.

But as INSIDER reported at the time, this plan might be less of a practical reality and more of a clever mind game HBO is playing with fans. Paparazzi photos and digital pages of scripts have leaked in the past, sometimes revealing major plot points like Jon Snow's return.
By putting the word out that there are multiple endings being filmed, HBO (and Clarke and Bloys) are muddying the waters for the spoiler-hungry followers online. Now, as seemingly inevitable leakers spring up online, we'll have to take their reports with a grain of salt because it might be based on one of the faked scenes.

Even now, as Clarke was speaking with THR, a large group of the cast is gathered in Seville, Spain, where the seventh season dragonpit scenes were filmed. This has sparked conversations among the fans about what exactly is happening. A fun cast party? Filming behind-the-scenes interviews? A big finale scene?
Clarke's absence from that gathering is curious, along with the presence of surprising faces. "Game of Thrones" news site Watchers on the Wall has the full spoiler report on the Seville sightings. But this serves as just one example of how Benioff and Weiss might be trying to confuse the narrative around season eight speculation.
You can read more about this "multiple endings" plan and our theories around it here. "Game of Thrones" will return sometime in 2019 (our guess is spring, but more on that here).

How 'Friends' pulled off TV's most famous wedding cliffhanger
How 'Friends' Pulled Off TV's Most Famous Wedding Cliffhanger ‘Friends' director Kevin Bright shares behind the scenes stories from the show’s most famous wedding cliffhanger. When the fourth season of Friendscame to a close 20 years ago this month, it left fans with multiple jaw-dropping cliffhangers. Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) flew to London to tell Ross she still loved him, but ended up only wishing him luck. Still, Ross (David Schwimmer) flubbed his vows and replaced bride-to-be Emily’s (Helen Baxendale) name with Rachel’s. And if that wasn’t enough, fans discovered Monica (Courteney Cox) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) slept together! Director Kevin Bright joined EW for the episode’s 20th anniversary to talk about the planning that went into the wedding and how they pulled off all those cliff-hangers. The episode was always intended to be a big one. “In any show that’s about real people, weddings and births are the hallmarks of our lives, so any time that happened on Friends it was a big deal,” Bright notes. Bright says the show also benefitted from its special setting, filmed on location in London, which made the season finale even more of an event than normal — perfect for some cliff-hangers. “It was fortuitous that this episode took place in London because it put Ross and this wedding on a much grander platform than a normal show, and it wasn’t a normal show,” Bright says. The famous scene where Ross says the wrong name during his vows could have been disastrous. Bright realized just before they were set to wrap that they’d only done one take. It turned out to be perfect, but for a time, he “thought [he] was going to be left in London in the Tower.” But how did they keep the moment a secret when Friends was filmed the remainder of the episode in front of a live audience? “We stopped the wedding in front of the audience in London right at the point of where the wedding ceremony starts,” explains Bright. “We did not show the London audience Rachel coming in. That’s how we were able to hold that secret. Nobody knew until it happened, so good job, Friends cast and crew, in not being yappy.” There’s also the matter of the other coupling in that episode: the Monica and Chandler pairing, which was not a foregone conclusion. “When we decided to put Monica and Chandler together, there was a lot of initial concern. There was no definite plan for the future of it. It was a matter of, well, how’s the audience going to react to this?” admits Bright. The team needn’t have worried — Bright recalls that the audience’s raucous response to seeing them in bed together. “When we shot that scene for the first time and they came out from under the covers, I’d like to put a literal clock on it, but I would say the applause and cheering lasted for a good solid two minutes,” he recalls. “You just have Courteney and Matthew waiting and waiting to do their lines because just upon seeing them the place went crazy, and I think probably in that moment we knew we had something that was going to be lasting for a while.”

Best moments from the ‘Cheers’ finale
"Cheers" isn't one of the most successful sitcoms ever because it was the funniest or the most innovative. But despite departing and even dying cast members and a changing TV landscape, "Cheers" remained remarkably consistent for 11 seasons and a whopping 270 episodes. To paraphrase the "Cheers" finale "One for the Road," "I like things you can count on." So when "Cheers" ended 25 years ago Sunday with a 98-minute special, 93.5 million Americans tuned in because this was one show you could always rely on. "Cheers" was always endearingly funny, it had one of the most compelling on-screen romances between Sam and Diane, and many episodes found a surprising sweet spot. "One for the Road" feels just the same. It's an episode with a lot going on, and it might be one of its best. Here are some of its most memorable moments: "One for the Road" is a finale of change and moving past the comforts of this bar. Rebecca (Kirstie Alley) is about to be engaged. Woody (Woody Harrelson) is running for public office. Cliff (John Ratzenberger) is up for a job at the post office. And Sam, coming to terms with his life throughout the whole season, has been pushed to swear off flings with women and find something stable. And the whole bar is thrown into a whirl when they're watching an awards show on TV and see Diane (Shelley Long, returning to the show after leaving five seasons in), who Sam invites to visit the bar. "After losing the only man I ever loved, lunch should hit the spot." – Rebecca Rebecca is a basket case in this episode, having come a long way from being the most mature person in the room when she first joined the show to replace Diane. After a hilarious sequence where she can't bring herself to say yes to her boyfriend's marriage proposal, blurting out rejections despite her better judgment, she says this choice line as she's wallowing to Sam in despair. "Oh just change it!" – Frasier When Kelsey Grammer's Frasier initially joined "Cheers" during its third season, he played the outsider to the group of guys. He eventually started gelling with everyone, but he and Woody were like oil and water, Frasier perpetually flustered and high-minded, and Woody a calm simpleton. When Woody asks Frasier to write his campaign speech, Frasier gets a little too clever for Woody. "In here you make change," Frasier says referring to Woody's work behind the bar. "There you make 'a' change. Oh, just change it!" "When will you be leaving?" – Carla After 11 seasons, you can forget that Carla (Rhea Perlman) and Diane started the show with a rivalry, with Carla always needling her and trying to get her out the door. Perlman delivers her line with the perfect blend of salty and sweet once she realizes Diane being back in the bar isn't her hallucination. "Maybe we'll work together someday. Hammer out a treaty or something." – Woody Oh Woody, so hapless. Diane, astonished that Woody is actually becoming a politician, makes one of her slightly condescending jokes saying that she's next in line for the throne. And Woody being Woody turns the tables on her with his gullible nature. "Well you never hurt ME, did you?!?" – Frasier It's almost hard to remember that Frasier and Diane were once a thing, and that Frasier never forgot about it either, even if the rest of the cast did. Grammer looks wonderfully flustered and irritated with Diane's flippant attitude that their whole relationship was basically just water under the bridge. "I am a corporate attorney with the group Emerson…Lake and Palmer." – Rebecca "Cheers" saved one of its wackier situation moments for the finale, when Sam and Diane each try and convince the other they're happily married so as to make the other jealous. Sam recruits a miserable Rebecca who has this gem of a cover story, while Diane has recruited a gay man to serve as her phony husband. "I gave that man the best years of my life." – Norm Sam gets real during the second act of the "Cheers" finale, screaming at the bar that, "I should need more than this! You should need more than this." It's a cutting line and a great act break, but wouldn't be perfect without Norm lightening the mood. "I won't pretend it's a modern day Athens." – Diane Shelley Long didn't miss a beat when she returned to the finale. Diane is as aloof and just a little pretentious as ever. And this line singing the praises of Los Angeles as they're about to fly away together is just the tip off Sam and Diane need that maybe all is not right with this relationship. Even the pilot and flight attendant seem to know it. Another show would've forced these two back together in the end. "Cheers" was daring enough to make sure they didn't. "I shoot for Donald Trump and I end up with Ed Norton." – Rebecca Here's a line that hasn't aged well, for obvious reasons. Rebecca can't believe the man she ended up with is a plumber, but takes it in stride anyway. "My wife Vera. Remember her? That is her name, isn't it?" – Norm One of "Cheers'" longest running gags is that we never see Norm's wife Vera. The finale offers a helpful reminder that they haven't forgotten about her, even though Norm's line seems to break the fourth wall ever so slightly with the realization that they almost did. "I don't think it matters what you love, so long as you love it totally, completely and without judgment." – Norm Before Sam closes up, Norm , wise soul as he is, delivers this beautiful line about the meaning of life. George Wendt gives a heavy-hearted performance that truly anchors the "Cheers" finale. "Boy, I'll tell you, I'm the luckiest son of a b---- on Earth." – Sam There's no place like home. It's understandable that Sam wants more out of life, but the beauty of "Cheers" was that it never had to veer far from the bar to be funny. Everything they needed was right here.

Why Capshaw and Drew were written off 'Grey's'
he time has come for Sarah Drew and Jessica Capshaw to bid farewell to their Grey’s Anatomy characters. But to fans, the big question is, why? In March, news broke that the two series regulars will be exiting the show at the end of season 14. Deadline reported that the decision for Capshaw and Drew’s exits was based strictly on the show’s creative direction. (Star Ellen Pompeo vigorously denied a report connecting their departures to her new $20 million salary.) “It’s always hard for me to say goodbye to any of my characters,” Grey’s creator and executive producer Shonda Rhimes said in a statement. “Both Arizona Robbins and April Kepner are not only beloved but iconic — both the LBGTQ and devout Christian communities are underrepresented on TV. I will be forever grateful to both Jessica and Sarah for bringing these characters to life with such vibrant performance and for inspiring women around the globe. They will always be a part of our Shondaland family.” Executive producer Krista Vernoff added: “The characters of Arizona and April are permanently woven into the fabric of Grey’s Anatomy thanks to the extraordinary work of Jessica Capshaw and Sarah Drew. As writers, our job is to follow the stories where they want to go and sometimes that means saying goodbye to characters we love. It has been a joy and a privilege to work with these phenomenally talented actresses.” Drew, who joined the show in season 6 as April Kepner, addressed the news on social media, writing, “Hey guys. Thank you for all of the love. I know you’re sad. I’m sad too. I haven’t really had the time to process this information. I’ve been with it for less than 48 hours, so I’m not ready to say my thank yous and give an all encompassing statement about my 9 years here. That will come later For now, I’d like to say: I love you, and I love April, and her story isn’t over yet. And the really good news (for me, at least) is that I’m here on set shadowing one of my favorite people, Kevin McKidd, with my beloved Grey’sfamily all this week and next, so I get to process all of my feelings surrounded by the community that has nourished and nurtured me for almost a decade. For that, I am so grateful.” Capshaw first joined the show as Arizona Robbins in season 5 before becoming a series regular in season 6. “For the past 10 years, I have had the rare privilege of not only playing Arizona Robbins, but also being madly in love with playing her. Arizona Robbins is kind, intelligent, funny, insightful, bold, playful, fierce and really good at her job,” Capshaw tweeted in March. “She was one of the first members of the LGBTQ community to be represented in a series regular role on network television. Her impact on the world is permanent and forever. Forever,” the star said of her fan-favorite character. “I am grateful that I have gotten to bring her to life and for the life that she has brought to me. I am sad to see her go, but I am consoled by the idea that she will continue to live on and on in all of our consciences and our imaginations. Shonda, thank you for the ride on this incredible rollercoaster. With a heart full of love, Jessica,” she concluded. Pompeo recently negotiated $20 million per season for her role as Meredith Grey in the Shonda Rhimes series. She refuted rumors that Capshaw and Drew were exiting the show because her own pay raise meant they couldn’t afford for them to come back. “It’s absolutely not true,” she said. “I mean, I’m not involved in these kind of decisions. However, there are a few problems that you encounter doing a show for 14 seasons. One of them is that writers have a really hard time creatively, thinking up new stories for all these characters. It’s always sad when we lose people, for whatever reason.” “I think that it’s important for us to not pit women against each other and to really dispel the notion that women are always victims,” she added. “We’re not enemies, we do lift each other up and support each other, and we’re not victims. We’re very strong, and we’re capable of many, many things.” Last week, Drew and Capshaw shared some sweet behind-the-scenes shots documenting their last day on set. “Here are some of my favorite people on the planet. While shooting this scene my heart was so full of joy and sadness at the same time that it was almost unbearable,” Drew wrote alongside a shot of herself with costars Jesse Williams, Kelly McCreary, Caterina Scorsone, Kevin McKidd, and Capshaw. “As I was looking up at all of these beautiful faces, smiling down at me with so much love, happy to see April alive and well, I was overcome with sadness about the reality of not being with all of these people in the same place in the same way ever again,” the 37-year-old actress added. “But, I was ALSO overcome with the joy of having had the opportunity in my life to know such gorgeous people whom I have loved, who have loved me so well for 9 years.” Here are some of my favorite people on the planet. While shooting this scene my heart was so full of joy and sadness at the same time that it was almost unbearable. As I was looking up at all of these beautiful faces, smiling down at me with so much love, happy to see April alive and well, I was overcome with sadness about the reality of not being with all of these people in the same place in the same way ever again. But, I was ALSO overcome with the joy of having had the opportunity in my life to know such gorgeous people whom I have loved, who have loved me so well for 9 years. During a break in the scene, I felt the tears coming and I looked over and made eye contact with Caterina and Chandra and they whisked me away and let me feel my feelings all over them. It was such a sweet moment of friendship. What I keep experiencing since the moment I was let go, is the tremendous joy that is present in the midst of my sorrow. It felt horrible to be asked to leave my family of 9 years, and I have experienced real, deep grief over it, BUT I have ALSO been so buoyed up by my cast, my crew, the fans, and my family in such extraordinary ways, that I wouldn’t trade any moment of it for the world. I keep describing my experience over the last two months as being “love-bombed” because between the conversations, the hugs, the letters, the tweets, the plane(!), that’s truly what I’ve felt. Love-bombed. In the wake of being let go, I’ve been overwhelmed with gratitude, and I’ve felt profoundly loved. I am so humbled and so thankful. Get ready for so many more pics and love notes next week.

Dear Netflix, this is my plea. "Great News" is a delightful show that mixes weird, escapist humor with biting commentary on the political climate and modern media. It vastly improved its tone and characters in its second season. It fires snappy jokes as fast as its sister show, "30 Rock," and for that it is incredibly re-watchable and would build up a devoted audience when binge-watching is an option. Please, give it a chance.

Stern tells Letterman how Trump rated women
Before he became President, Donald Trump made frequent appearances on Howard Stern’s radio show — and Stern says he was a great guest because he would “say anything on his mind.” On an upcoming segment of David Letterman’s Netflix interview series “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction,” Stern recalled conversations with Trump in which he judged the physical attractiveness of women, including Angelina Jolie and his daughter Ivanka. ...

For the stars and contestants who make it to the end of each season of "The Bachelor" or "The Bachelorette," that final rose can translate to one of two outcomes: a happily ever after or -- much more often -- a romance gone wrong. In honor of Becca Kufrin's journey to find love on "The Bachelorette" debuting on May 28, 2018, Wonderwall.com is taking a look at the final couples from all 22 seasons of "The Bachelor" and all 13 seasons of "The Bachelorette" to find out where they are now -- for better or for worse, starting with the couple that started it all! On the very first season of "The Bachelor," which debuted in 2002, management consultant Alex Michel picked Amanda Marsh -- but he didn't propose. They dated for a few months but ultimately went their separate ways. He became a spokesman for Match.com and Princess Cruises for some time and now appears to be single -- though he's seemingly retreated from Bachelor Nation and nothing is known about him currently. Amanda ended up moving on and marrying childhood friend Jay Caldwell, with whom she has a daughter, Chloe. "I still keep in touch with Alex a couple times a year," Amanda, a registered nurse, told Us Weekly in 2012. "We call for birthdays and stuff." Keep reading for more updates on the ABC reality shows' final couples over the last 16 years...
