Don't forget the spiders dropping out of the trees onto your head,and the rats climbing aboard up the mooring ropes and how do slugs get aboard. The spiders are very handy,  they are a sign of a dry boat, and their webs catch all the little critters flying about. We do not mind them at all, and in the mornings when there is a frost, their webs are actually very beautiful.
