Spider-Gwen set to debut on Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man!

Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon hasn’t shied away from the alternate versions of the character across the multiverse and the title character is getting ready to dive back into the Spider-Verse with a special visit from a new fan favorite, Spider-Gwen!

IGN has the first photos of the character, who will debut in the final part of the show’s four episode arc, “Return to the Spider-Verse.” Spider-Gwen will be voiced by Dove Cameron (Liv and Maddie, Descendants) and she’ll be joined by several other Spider-Men, including Blood Spider, voiced by Ben Diskin; Wolf Spider, voiced by Christopher Daniel Barnes (of ’90s Spider-Man series fame), Web Beard, a pirate Spider-Man voiced by Will Friedle; Webslinger, the Spider Cowboy voiced by Troy Baker; and Spider-Man Noir, voiced by Milo Ventimiglia.

“Return to the Spider-Verse: Part One” will premiere on Saturday, August 27th at 8:00pm ET/PT on Disney XD, with Part Two airing on September 3rd, Part Three on September 10th and Part Four on September 17th.

Spider-Gwen made her debut in “Edge of Spider-Verse” #2, the second in a series of one-off stories about different iterations of Spider-Man characters, but has gone on to become an immensely popular character. This alternate version of Gwen Stacy became the one bitten by the radioactive spider and given great power and responsibility instead of Peter Parker, who in fact went on to become The Lizard in this unique universe.
