A pair of ghost-hunters claim to have captured the image of a 'hooded monk' in a church with a satanic past.

Paranormal investigator Dean Johnson 48, visited the abandoned church in Clophill, Bedfordshire, with partner Charlie last Wednesday (February 10) after reading about it on specialist websites, and filmed the spooky scene above.

Dean, a part-time driver for Waitrose, said: "We had been standing on the public road outside the church for 10 minutes and my partner Charlie was testing the camera on his phone.

"We hadn't even had a chance to set up our three cameras with their tripods.

"When Charlie looked back at his camera footage there appeared to be a black hooded monk walking across the archway."

The paranormal enthusiast, who lives in Daventry, said: "We rushed back to the church but there was no-one there. The tower was locked so whatever it was heading to a dead end.

"It's still unexplained but I'm going back to get more evidence.

"I'm not sure if I believe in ghosts but I certainly believe in the multiverse where people can cross over into our time from different dimensions."

The pair captured the footage outside Old St Mary's Church, in Clophill, Beds.

Dean is mentoring his ghost-hunting partner Charlie Spalding, 20, who also has an interest in the paranormal.

The father of one said: "Apparently in the 1960s there were a number of satanic rituals at the church where people were digging up bones and arranging them in satanic patterns.

"It also has a link with devil worship."

"We've travelled the length of Britain looking for evidence of ghosts but this is the best evidence we'd have so far.

"I've had an interest in the paranormal my whole life.

"My family always take the mickey out of me.

    "They're complete non-believers."

In September 2015 the pair snapped a picture of what they say appears to be a Victorian nurse at an abandoned psychiatric hospital in Northamptonshire.

Well, if that's NOT a person walking there, then this is very interesting.
