Priest says Hell is an invention of the church to control people with fear

Hell is based on a race of beings called the Deros who went underground to avoid UV rays who came to the surface to cannabalize humans.

UV rays will break down DNA.

A race of beings called the Teros came to Earth hoping to set up a colony here. After a time their DNA was affected because the UV rays were harmful to their physiology. They then decided to go undergrounds and fix there ships and look for another planet elsewhere. In the process many UV diseases and industrial accidents took a toll on their people. When they got their ships spaceworthy... they weren't capable of just killing off their sick, diseased and infirmed. So they had 2 groups. The healthy Teros and the sickly Deros. They probably figured that in their sickly condition that Darwinism would give them a swift end. However after they left the Deros adapted to their underworld surrounding and went to the surface world at night to feed on humans. This is probably what has contributed to the mythology of Vampires and the concept of Demons from the underground feeding upon the souls of humans. In reality it is a refugee alien colony surviving on mideval humans quite possibly to this day. They have found caves under the island of Malta with tons of human remains.
